@JoelHowley What is the reasoning behind putting a stronger/ shortline skier on a larger ski?

@adamhcaldwell What do you think of throwing in a couple of noodles as zero buoys for reference to get things started (to be removed later so one can practice the real deal)?

@scorban2 Angle is too wide on that one. At longer line lenghts than 35 off skier shows as a tiny dot in the view.

@Buoyhead69 Heat molding the liner per Reflex instructions will not only improve the fit against your foot but also how the liner fits against the shell wich imho is equally important.

Makes for a better connection with less shearing between shell and liner.

From a very reputable source: Long shallow promotes longer preturns and require a bit more patience from apex to hookup.

Short deep results in a more hooked style turn.

So a number of 17 yo sets a pb (or is it a season best, did anyone bother to look that up?)when they get to one of the worlds premier waterski venues to ski the most prestigious event of their life and people find that suspicious? Total BS if you ask me. I can easily find equal numbers of skiers who budged and skied well below their SB, how about that?

Accusing the organizers of foul play is just ridiculous without evidence to back it up. What about the officials? Where rhey bought or what? For what purpose? And for what money ? How much money do you think floats around in this sport when proffessional skiers need to keep their day job to make a living?

World Championships is all about the podium, not some record or a pb. The boys and girls just gave it their best when it mattered the most, deal with it.

Adjusting CAM retard does not affect timing at all

@TEL Is correct about the CAM retard needs to be adressed, it's really not timing related but let's not get into that.

With a Diacom it is a 10 min fix.

By rhe way new cap, rotor cables and spark plugs can mask the problem to the point you actually think you've solved it.

@LeonL Gate up speed suggests ZO needs to know the location of gates so yes, that is probably important.

@Than_Bogan I discovered it last summer with our clubs new to us 196. Skied in mirror conditions and my gate setup coupled with my 1 and 2 buoy felt like a head/tailwind situation, just felt weird the whole set. I know our course haven't moved but remapped anyway. Skied immediately after remapping and everything went back to normal.

Have no idea about the tech involved but have seen several members on this forum also experienced the same.

Remapping at least every month now.

@rayn Remapping needs to be done every once in a while regardless of the course being moved or not. At least with a dual puck ZO, can't speak for the single puck as I have no experience with it.

About that knee, starting some research to do the same myself allthough I'm a bit too young (51) but at the rate it has deterioated the last few years I don't think I can make it to my sixties. Was it a partial or tkr? Does the procedure and/or implant have a specific name. Your front or rear knee? Obviously you being happy with the outcome as a skier got ne curious.

@Jody_Seal So not true, the rest of the world goes by the IWWF rulebook.

@Horton Well you only stated it was a cable course not an Accufloat. The course I'm referring to is a cable course with 4 cables and the scenario you are describing sounds more plausible with that then with an accufloat. Did someone actually tell you it was an Accufloat or are we making assumptions here?

@Horton Not in the rest of the world either.

@JackQ Very unlikely it is an Accufloat type as that would be against the rules. Most likely a four string course where there is two end beams the width of the entire course that attach four strings wich the buoy lines attaches to.
