  1. My 2000 SN was running 3800+ with an OJ prop and I switched to the ACME and 34mph was yielding 3400-3500 rpm.
  2. Tugboat, I sent you a msg to your Inbox.
  3. Seems like I bought some a couple years back at Tractor Supply.
  4. Thanks, I'll probably go with the large.
  5. I've been reading about the 'odd' sizing of the Camaro Vests. I'm 5'10", 165#'s, 40-42" chest. I've got a Camaro Blacktec 2.0 wetsuit size Medium that fits great. Can anyone suggest what size vest I would need? Thanks
  6. I just purchased Bimini from NautiqueParts.com for my 07 SN. They were helpful the colors because they are familiar with the Nautique color names (ie SN Vapor Blue is best matched with Sunbrella Pacific Blue). Also they were the cheapest.
  7. Thanks for all the suggestions. Definitely leaning toward the compact tractor option. Always wanted an excuse to get another tractor. E_T - I have to come up thru my yard then make a 90 left into my garage.
  8. After research, I agree with small tractor option. For almost same price i can get a 25 hp Kubota with loader for same price as one of these Side by Side UTV's. Every man should own a tractor plus tractor lose very little value over time. Great investment! Can't wait to tell my wife.
  9. Thanks for the replies. My ramp is not that steep and my garage is 20 yards tops from ramp. Maneuvering space is a problem for my truck. Talked with my 'hunting' friends who have these toys and they said no problem. Just wondering if anyone was actually doing it. For the $$$ looks like some of these little compact tractors might do better.
  10. Is anyone putting their ski boat in/ out of water with a "Side by Side UTV", ie Kawasaki Mule, Polaris Ranger, etc? If so, how does it do? Thanks
  11. I'm friends with our local inboard dealer. He says 'slalom' guys are notoriously cheap. He occasionally will give out T-shirts. The wakeboarder will say 'Hey dude, thanks!' The skier will say 'Hey can I get 2 of those?'
  12. I just tried my 2mm Camaro out yesterday for the 1st time. I was at the very top end of medium (except chest size which i was large) so I went with large. Felt comfortable in about 62F water and 65F air. More water came in than I expected. Definitely a 'wet' suit. It's very comfortable and flexible. Feels like pajamas. But not sure I'll be wearing it into the low 50's water temp.
  13. Sorry - Realized I really didn't answer your question. I took a flat head screw driver and pryed the hose up and around and poured some soapy water around hose as I did that. I was able to work the hoses loose that way.
  14. A bit intimidating at first, but I was able to wrestle them off. The hard part came in putting it all back together. My advice for the reinstall is to work from back of boat forward. I found it easier to manipulate/bend the hoses coming straight off the manifold risers because I had more 'play' in those hoses and could slide them around more. Soap and water is your friend. Oh, and I also used Nitrile gloves- they grip the hoses really well.
  15. Just repaired my '07 with 1850 hours. Same symptoms you described - warm water in bilge. Easy fix with alittle fiberglass repair kit. Even more convincing when you look at the price of a new one. Hard part is getting all hoses off. As mentioned above Dawn dish soap and warm water. Be sure to check inside muffler and check that the baffle hasn't broken loose. If so, you can get to it with a stick or brush to secure it.
  16. I went from S-2 to the Quest. I demo'ed Quest with no intentions of buying (of course), but liked it so well I went home with it. IMO-Both are forgiving skies to ride. Quest is faster and takes less energy to ride. Quest is probably better ski for short line. BTW I have an S-2 for sale also. 2012 66" $500 Email- hogexpress@aol dot com

  18. I vote for SN. Btw I've got a 2000 SN for sale- same hull as '97. Perfect Pass Stargazer and many extras. $13,000. South Carolina (803)-960-2939 - call for details and pics.
  19. I used a Sahara until I couldn't patch it anymore and have had an O'neill Assault Hybrid for 2 seasons now. In process of sending off to have seals replaced this summer.
  20. Probably not as cheap as $55 but I got my replacement from Vince @ Discount Inboard Marine.
  21. I know Jefferson, Ga has a couple of courses/clubs?. Might be alittle closer than Whitestone.
  22. I've been on a Strada for 2 years and really like the ski. I've only skied 2 sets on the S-2 and 2 sets on the A-2. That being said IMO the two are nothing alike. The S-2 could be my next ski if forced to buy another ski. It's fast and carries speed thru the turns very nicely (like the Strada). It's also very forgiving and doesn't mind being jumped on the front of the ski if running late. It worked well for me. The A-2 likes to 'shut-down' speed wise in the turns (esp on my off-side). That did not work for me. On a positive note I felt the A-2 'held' angle behind the boat like a rail. I spent 2 sets trying to ride the tail of the ski in the turns in hopes the ski would stay out in front of me. I'm 5'10"/160#'s 34mph running deep 38 on a good day.
  23. My PCM 5.0L has been making a ticking sound for several months, but haven't noticed any adverse affects...yet. I haven't been able to pin down the location. I don't think it is an exhaust leak or I would have noticed exhaust smell when I open the engine box. But will investigate that. The water pump was going to be my guess because it seems to be coming from the front of the motor, but was waiting until I noticed any other signs. If it is an exhaust leak what is it exactly that makes the ticking sound?
