  1. I've got a bad case of tennis elbow (outer pain) on my right side (usually its the left). Have been using the flexbar.

At @Marco suggestion, I put a strip of my daughter's pink KT tape on it last night. Hmmm, significant relief. Not sure how or why this stuff works. I'm all for placebos...if they work. I'll be picking up some more of this stuff...just not in pink.

    Thanks Marco.

  2. Wow! I'm be curious how and if an orthotic would help that. I have the opposite issue...a high arch and instep. RFF...without my insole, my foot it flattened in the boot, and the ski only wants to go left. My arch supporting insole resolves this issue.

    I'm thinking shimming with washers...

  3. Agreed...while they are super comfortable, flexible, and warm...lack of durability is the downside. Another buddy of mine recently got the blacktec shorty. He skis in a conventional uscg vest, with three (primarily) exposed belts. The abrasiveness of the belts amost immediately starting wearing through the outer layer of the "forearm" section of the camaro.

The USCG vest I occassionally use (Radar X Vest) has the two belts enclosed under neoprene on the sides of the vest......a much "friendlier" design as far as compatibility with the camaro goes.

  4. I agree 100% w/ Brody (although I'm not the level skier he is). I've been pleased w/ the release of my Reflex. Last month, first day of vaca, got in a bad postion, lean lock and forward over 2nd wake. Ended in a bad.... actually a very bad and violent, OTF. Reflex released as expected like a champ. Unfortunately my face smashed into the horseshoe on the ski...fortunately just below my nose. Any higher or lower and my nose or teeth would have been crushed.

Almost four weeks later, still haven't got full feeling back in front teeth. I'll take a smashed face over an achilles injury

    any day.

(gratuitous picture of the beginning of a much larger bruise that filled the inside my mouth and gum)....

  5. My youngest (soon to be 14 yo) daughter is almost in need of a slalom ski. She is a petite 5'-1", 103 lbs, with womens 5.5 feet. I don't anticipate her getting much bigger.

She is likely to remain a casual recreational skier. I'm thinking the 63" RTA is a good ski choice for her, but wondering what others are using for bindings? Her foot size translates to a mens 4 or 4.5, which falls below the Radar offerings.

    Any thoughts or suggestions....
