  1. Am I one of the only skiers who likes my Nano Mid? I have a 65" 188 AMP set at 29.25", 6.819, 2.445, 0.725 (Slot Caliper), 8 degrees, no ventral wing. I am skiing very consistent on my Nano so far and have not experienced any of the problems as mentioned in some of the previous comments above.

My Nano Mid seems to have great cross course angle compared to my 9900SL Traditional. I have recently changed my ZO settings from A1 to C2.

I am wondering if some of the above mentioned characteristics of the Nano perhaps are due to too much of a longitudinal twist than other Nanos.

  2. I use 2 strips of clear 400 + 2 strips of clear 250 on the plate, and 4 strips of clear 250 on the ski. I mate the Dual Lock together on the plate first before mounting it to the ski so that I am sure everything is mated together firm and there are no crushed mushrooms. I have never pre-released using this combination and mounting technique. I buy the Dual Lock Trial Packs from bindingsource.com.
  3. If you lay the ski flat on a table without anchoring anything, the TAIL of a RFF would be twisted right (clockwise), so if you would anchor the tail of a RFF ski flat to the table the TIP would be twisted left (counterclockwise). This makes sense because you turn your off side with your front foot, and your on side with your rear foot.

    I am currently riding a 66.5" 186 AMP Goode 9900SL Traditional. Moving to a 65" 188 AMP Nano Mid.

  4. My Nano arrived yesterday. I think it may have the opposite twist also. I ordered a RFF, the sticker on the tip of the ski says "Right", however my ski has a clockwise longitudinal twist if you look down the ski from the tail (i.e. the left side of the tail is twisted up). I will call Goode on Monday.
  5. @9400. I was a Fogman user and adapted my Fogman boots to a G-10 plate to attach to the ski using 3M Dual Lock. Did so mainly due to the fact that Fogmans mounted to a Goode voids the warranty. There is a Fogman adapter plate available if you prefer to use the Fogman release units without drilling in to the ski.
  6. I'm using a combination of 250/400 clear. Two strips 250 per side on the ski (4 total on ski). One strip 400 and one strip 250 per side on the plate (4 total on plate). My plate is 29" long, so I need nearly 20 feet of Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Dual Lock to tape up one ski/binding.
