Waterskiing ~ 2 sets, at 15 min/set, very intense workout. Snow skiing is 4+ hrs. and a much different workout depending on type of skiing (deep pow, off piste, groomers)
I add more fin. Used to make it ~.010 deeper, but nowadays I increase the length ~0.01. I've heard of some moving bindings, DFT and yet others that claim none of this matters and it's a bandaid approach. Seems to work for me.
The golfers elbow typically happens on the same elbow with the palm up grip. All the above help to eliminate/reduce this, but eliminating slack hits on the off-side turns really helped prevent it for me.
@A_B use of the Theraband is also great advice, both for healing and preventing the inflamation.
@packski I’ve had them. Very similar to Synvisc, Orthovisc and the other HA injections.
FYI - even if your insurance will pay for the HA injections, I found it to be much much cheaper to use a Canadian Pharmacy and pay cash.
For anyone thinking of a TKR, check with your oath first to see if a PKR (partial) may be a better option, less damage to the knee and quicker rehab, plus I was told that once the PKR wears out, I may be able to get another PKR or at the worst a TKR.
@A_B Thanks. A buddy of mine recently had the stem cell procedure on his knee, primarily for for his meniscus and also some arthritis. It's only been 6 weeks and he still has some pain, so too early to tell how well this is working and if his relief is coming from the meniscus or arthritis.
I searched the site and researched Regenexx, but this is mostly older stuff (2014-2017). Anyone have any new info on this, maybe 1st hand experience they can share?
Edit: I've done the Synvisc, Orthovisc, and other HA injections along with the other typical stuff to help delay a TKR or PKR.
I agree her gate is different, as it appears she's trying to mimic a turn outta 2, 4 ball. As for her 1 ball, unless the photos are outta order, she releases the handle, then regrips it, but the reverse-C looks like its in well in play.
When our club had 20+ members, I guess I see how this might work. A few Q's, how far in advance do you allow someone to schedule time and how do you handle no shows? Safe to assume you schedule in 15 min increments?
