Its not even my battle, but it pisses me off. They claim this cable park will be better for the people of the city because more people will be able to enjoy it. They are probably right, but how does it this make it okay? It all about $$$. Maybe they should tear down my favorite restaurant and put in a Mcdonalds because more people will enjoy it!

@Krlee, actually that was one of my concerns I forgot to mention. I doubt anyone I will ski with will know how to use it. I guess I will pass on it , seller wants $500 so not really worth it. If anyone finds a used system for sale , please let me know. I need the entire mechanical set up. Any version from single line classic to Stargazer will work for me.

It is a great boat! I bought it in March , but never used it on the course. I used the club boat the few times a I made it out this year. I did take the family out on public lake a few times and it was a blast. A bit cramped for a family of four though. I will probably spring for PP come spring time if I cant find a decent used system by then.

I have an older boat ( 1993 Califnornia Skier) and havent used it yet to ski behind other than a quick set. I would like to use it this summer instead of the club boat so I need to add speed control. Given that its an older boat that I probably will upgrade soon, I rather not spend the $$ on a new PP system. I've kept my eye out for used PP since March till now with no luck. Anyhow, there is an Acccuski system for sale on ski-it-again and I also saw it posted on the nichols site. Would this be a good alternative? It looks like it may be a bit more complex to install. I very familiar with installing PP as I have done it 3 times now, but have no experience with Accuski. BTW, I dont ski tournaments so I don't care about ZO simalarites. Just want a decent pull. @ 6balls, its a PCM Excalibur of that time. Remember guys , the boat pictured was scrapped. If in fact it the new model will be built, the boat will be loosely based on that hull , but will actually be closer to an older boat hull of the 90's. The idea is a 19' quality built boat with new technology, turn key at under 40K.

I will preface this by saying that I'm not an owner or really affilaited with this company other than I bought and sold a few of his wakeboard boats when the economy was stronger. Anyhow like I stated before this isnt this companies first trip around the block. In fact the owner has been affialited with and designed many tournament waterski and wakeboard boats for decades. It seems alot of you are not looking outside your "box" . I'm not sure how situation is on all private lakes, but not all waterskiers are competitive skiers and need a boat that will be used at a tournament. At my previous club , out of 50 members, I dont think more than 10 skied tournaments. There is also a huge market outside of the US in Europe , Australia and Latin America. Below is a ski boat we were working on in 08. I only really supplied some funding and testing. The boat was set to MSRP at $37,500 loaded! We eventually never dialed it in and scrapped the concept it due to the ecomony. It had a very cool layout but it was a bit big in my opinion. The company is now toying with the idea of releasing a smaller version with new technology based on a well known proven hull . And yes the wakeboard boat market of course will be much stronger in sales. So back to my original question what features / ameneties would you like to see. I guess since my post doesn't really give much backround , most of you assume its a brand new venture , new design etc.. I will post details at a later time.

Lets just say for sh$ts and giggles there is a boat manufacturer looking to get into to the tournament waterski boat market. Do you guys think there is room for a fifth player? If they were to listen to us skiers and build a bare bones boat, what are the key features and price point you would want. Do we really need a trunk, a stereo , depth finder etc...Do we need an open bow option? Let's say it was built specifically for tournament setting ie. private sites, and it performed close or as good as the others, how many units could be sold a year? All thoughts and opinions appericiated . I will be forwarding this thread to " someone " !

That blows! The site I was at was recently purchased by a group who is doing the same thing. I do beleive they are keeping lake 1 for traditional slalom though. Wakeboarders suck!

ral, the idea of moving to Chile was getting thrown around between myself and my dad, but I think it would be too big a change for my wife. Kids are young enough to not know any different. BTW check out my new tat! People in Texas probably wouldn't see the differnce. LOL I think my wife would prefer Texas as is is closer to CA to come back and visit. It seems like the inevitable is about to happen. My dad is wanting to retire and wants me to take over his compnay. I've been avoiding it for years mainly do to the massive amount of travel . Including some places where I would not want to go like Libya, Columbia and Nicaragua. I recently got back from a trip with him to Panama and realized I can't just let him close his company. Eventhough I have told him many a time that I wasnt interested, he never made any alternate plans. So since It looks like I will be moving forward with this and will be facing alot of travel, I want to try see if I can minimize the travel time by moving. Most of the destinations will be Mexico City, Sanitago, Chile, and Sao Paulo ,Brasil. I currenlty live In Sacramento CA and I want to possibly move where I can find direct flights to these destinations. By doing so I am also hoping to find a house on a Ski Lake!! Right now I am considering Houston or Miami areas. Any other recommendations? I'm not looking at making this move right away however as I have my own company to consider plus family and friends. Any input appreciated!

I'm willing to bet there at least 100 man made ski lakes in California and probably at least an other 20 quarry/burrough pits. Just off the top of my head I came up with this list and I sure there are much more. Wow, so they are really going thru with it at Stillwater/Locust. Kind of depressing to see it drained. Are they going to dig it larger/deeper? Glad I made the move to Bel Acqua.

If I were to build a lake, I would have islands on both ends. On one island I would build a bridge to it . The island would have a Tiki Bar with a nice deck, tables, chairs , kegerator and some flat screens! Maybe even have a bikini girl waitress there all the time to serve drinks.The other island I would put a bunch of fake animals like elephants , monkeys , lions etc..

I'm in my late 30's and got my first tattoos this summer.(Must be going thru an early mid-life crisis!) Only regret is that I was unaware that you could not ski for two weeks afterwards! I won my own business so I have no problem right now! I too would like to add something ski related, but im not into anything cartoonish.

Don't have any experience with it, but how about an ps214/x14.
