  1. In my limited experience it seems easier to drive good shortline skiers than longer line skiers. I fall into the latter! Am I wrong?
  2. I think I will just drive my boat up the hand rails and park it on the dock for safe keeping. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/boat_5064915.gif
  3. I test drove one two years ago and I really liked it. It was a brand new 2010 or maybe 2011. I thought it skied great at my level thru 28. Has alot of room, rode nice and plenty of room for the family. Fully loaded was like 39K. I ended up buying a boat I could afford in cash vs the finance deal. But I would definatley consider one ( not with that fugly tower though!) when it's time to upgrade to a bigger boat. I bet a fully loaded CC 200 OB with tower , bimini , shower, heater , ZO would come close to double.
  4. I finally decided to take the plunge skiing in tournament. I got home the other day to tell my wife all about it. She looks at me and says "you know what day that is don't you?". I respond "NO, what is it" . Our anniversary dummy. Oops! I guess she rather spend the day elsewhere! Looks like next time.
  5. Can you post the ad, I dont get the mag.
  6. It will need to be a hovercraft to compete with the 200!
  7. I would try and find a 91-93 MC. Probably be around the same price and proven. If its cheap and clean then go for it. I got lucky and bought an off brand I had never heard of. It was so clean and cheap and I didnt pass it up. So far so good. Its not the greatest boat, but for $5000 I couldnt beat it.
  8. The new xstar probably took priority and they didnt get it right the first time around. I'm only to assume the new prostar is going to be the same type of deal. I can't wait to see what happens with the new prostar. Sit back and watch the show!
  9. Will the ski boats carry that crease as well?
  10. Yeah, I know this is a waterski forum, but I had to share MC's newest creation . This boat is crazy looking to say the least. I don't know if anyone here has followed what has been going on with this boat, but its has turned into quite a debacle! This is MC's next genration Xstar. It made its debut at surf expo as the next greatest thing, and industry changer if you will. It then disappeared and no one heard or saw the boat for awhile. Apparently it needed some refinements before the productions models were available. It then re appreared and made its tournament debut last week up against the new Nautique G23. The Nautique got great reviews , while the new star was not well recieved. Anyhow, just thought I would share this as it is crazy looking ! http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/MB20boats20golf201180.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/MB20boats20golf201176.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/MB20boats20golf201177.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/MB20boats20golf201172.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/MB20boats20golf201167.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/MB20boats20golf201156.jpg
  11. Not a unique situation, but I always get a good chuckle when someone forgets to raise their outdrive on an I/O after loading on the trailer.
  12. Crap, another nautique in the road causing traffic. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/nautique20red20light.jpg I think I'll just beach it right here. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/IMG_0756.jpg
  13. @ kevin , yes its a loud one! @DW do not know the weight, its not in the brochure. However it must be light.
  14. So far I have skied the boat twice since the Stargazer install. Stargazer is working great. No problems with times or getting it to lock into speed. The boat tracks really well, I was surprised since the rudder has not been shaved. Ist get upto speed and pulls up a 220lbs skier with no problems. I can only comment on the wake thru 28 as I am a longliner. 15 feels small and soft , really not much of a noticable difference from lets say a cc196. The 22 bump is there, and felt similar to a 93MC190. 28 no bump and smooth transitions. Will have to wait for better skiers to come along to get the opinion on shorter lengths. Only issue, but small , is when coming around the islands it tends to roll over a bit. Easily fixed by turning a bit wider. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/IMG_0361.jpg
  15. You can can buy this system for $795 but its speed based, not ideal for slalom. Its the only other speed control system I know of. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/hydrophase_ridesteady_kit.jpg
  16. thanks marco, but the rope doesn't get any longer!
  17. I am assuming a big hamburger for lunch and a couple pulls on the handle tied to the dock wont cut it! LOL
  18. So my first ski of the year I took two sets. That was last Sunday and I am now almost fully recovered! I was so sore I could barely open a door. I used to be able to just strap my ski on and go, no stretching , no jogging no nothin. I think I'm getting to the age where that ain't gonna fly. I didn't do any offseason workouts and I hardly skied last season , so I'm definatley feeling it now. Second sets of the year will be today. I dont want to be out another week, so any advice? Anything I should eat, drink, asain massage parlor? Any thoughts?
  19. How many weeks of summer you get there? LOL
  20. I didnt see the post till today, now that I am back! Next time
  21. If anyone needs a second in or around Bakersfiled this weekend, hit me up. I'll be in the area bored :(. rodltg2@gmail.com
  22. I used to do this with my homemade course and we were able to do it no problem with 3 skiers. One thing you may want to look into if its legal . I was cited once by a clueless sheriff who cited me for installing obstacles. At least he waited and watched us ski first and waited till we pulled the course ! He even wanted to test us for alcohol! He must if thought we were crazy to be skiing at 6am. Dumb a$$!
  23. I had an 05 rlxi loaded with the tower, speakers bimini and wedge. Wake was hard so I removed it all and it was much improved. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/buandtruckcoolijs.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b265/rodltg2/DSCN0770.jpg
  24. Not a sports, I play the drums in a metal band

About 2 summers ago I contacted Randy Packett who owns a lake there to catch a ride , but the weekednd I went it happened to rain. I havent gone down other than holidays since and have lost his contact info. Any ballers ski at that site?
