  1. We just had a similar problem on an 02, in our case the distributor gear had worn out, I have also seen the roll pin that holds the gear in place break. Pull the distributor cap and crank the motor to see if the rotor is spinning.
  2. As of right now I am at level 8. It has been a long time goal to qualify for and ski in the nationals. So here I am just above the current cut off, do I book the trip and make the plans knowing the number could change and I could fall back to level 7.
  3. Should we consider getting rid of the level 8 requirement and allocate nationals attendance based on regional placement? In this case it would not be the top 5, rather an allocation based on the number of skiers in each age division in the nation. if you have 400 M4 skiers and the allocation number is 20% or 80 skiers, the 80 skiers would come proportionally from each region, (200 skiers in the western region equals an allocation of 40 skiers etc...). Doesn't solve the money and travel issue but it would make regional tournaments much more relevant.
  4. @lpskier it was great I ended up at Matt Rini's. Can't thank Matt enough he has a great site and we met some great people. In terms of sore it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I did push it a little on my final set and blew up at 5 ball but nothing damaged so it was a good set. Also a shout out to the people at Performance ski and Surf, great people and they hooked my daughter up with a deal on a new vest.
  5. Hey all, I will be in Orlando tomorrow and looking for a place to take a couple of ski rides. I thought i had a place all set but that seems to have fallen through. I am free all day tomorrow and am I very flexible. There will be two of us. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  6. @LeonL @thompjs my point in regards to Zero Off is more about the lack of an independent timing system that is not part of the Zero Off computer. In my simple mind there is a difference between calibration and measurement.

@horton sorry for the off topic just wanted to clarify my point in the original thread.

  7. Tournaments are a way to validate practice scores and take me out of my comfort zone. As stated previously tournaments are more of a sudden death format, although multi round tournaments lessen the pressure. Personally I am having the best year of my life, because I had been skiing so well (for me) i decided to up the pressure and make the 500 mile drive to the regional tournament, I didn't ski great but it was a satisfying experience to go there and not completely choke. In regards to practice versus tournament scores I have set two PB's in tournaments this year, 3 @ 35 and 4 @ 35 a few weeks later, both of those scores I got in tournaments before I got there in practice.
