  1. My 94 Prostar 205 with the 350 TBI starts fine when its cold, but once it's up to temp if I let it sit a couple minutes it is hard to start. It use to take three or four tries, but this morning it was more like 7. It runs fine once it is started and will start up fine if you turn it off and then right back on. Anyone have any suggestions. I've got a private lake rented in a couple weeks and don't want my boat to die while we are there.
  2. I called and asked for replacement laces for my EXO bindings, they said they would send some ... never came. I called again same story. I ended up going to Fred Meyer and opened up boot laces until I found some that would work. In years past I've had good experiences, but this year I was pretty disappointed.
  3. @kreipe - I've been on EXO's since they came out and let me assure you they can (and do) release in an OTF. I've "tested" them many times with many entertained observers. I have the double cuff version and there is no way a foot could come out unless the top buckle was not fastened. Like anything they have their quirks but I wouldn't go back to rubber and have not had an injury since I switched from wileys.
  4. I skied with one of these http://www.townsenddesign.com/Townsend_Design/Full_Shell_OA.html

townsend design custom braces for years after a micro-fracture surgery (and still have a missing ACL). It was my front leg and the brace took a beating from getting hit by my back leg. If I wasn't wearing a wet-suit I would cover the brace with a sleeve to protect my other leg. I stopped using it several years ago and haven't missed it, (still use it twice a week for basketball).

  5. Took the MC205 out for it's second outing this morning. After greasing the rudder the steering is better, but could still be easier. We had flat water and it skis great! Too bad the season is almost over.
  6. The weak start was due to bad battery contacts. As for the steering, it is OK out of the water but stiff under power. I took the floor off and located the places I need to grease. Any recommendations on what kind of grease to use?
  7. I got the boat on Sunday and skied it this morning. This is my first boat and I had a lot on my mind as I took it to the launch and while I was skiing. It definitely works better when you put the drain plug in (hopefully the one and only time I make that mistake). The wake is great and the engine runs quiet and strong. The steering is a little stiff and the starter is a little weak, but I think it'll be a great boat.
