Those scruffy lads from the Cambridge Glee club were a bunch clever gents.

Just to prove I didn't just sit on the back of the boat here's me heading back to the dock to uncurl my frozen hands. Really could have used my warm gloves. :s

@skier2788 If you come down to Pueblo you are always welcome to grab a set or 2.

  3. @skimaster93 Chucks place is at Newberry Springs near Barstow. Near were it all started Horton's dads lake as far as I know. I skied there a few years back with Horton's Friend Jeff of knife fame in the unboxing videos. Need to get back there someday.
  4. @DaveD Hard to pee once the cold water has entered though. I have the full length suit and use dry suit ankle straps to thwart the cold water egress. @dchristman never thought about putting something over like you suggest. Might try that. As mentioned before by @OldboyII never though about having anything under the camaro either. This is why I love this site.
  5. @aupatking From my point of view you worded exactly why I don't even consider skiing tournaments. I am well over 50, been skiing for only 9 years and have no hope of being competitive in my age group. So the only draw may be the social side of a tourney. All the skiers I have met across the country as I travel have always been great. I may have to bite the bullet and do the minimum 3 tournaments so I can get handicapped for the BOS series because it sounds like something I would be interested in doing. Hats off to @Horton for coming up with a tournament format that to me and my situation, at least sounds worthwhile. Doesn't work for everybody but then again nothing does.
  6. Anybody have any idea of the price for a week? Or is it one of those if you have to ask the price you can't afford it. I looked on the web site and there is no mention of cost. I realize it is a first class experience and could be considered a once in a lifetime trip so understand if nobody wants to talk cost. If needed PM can be sent.
  7. @OldboyII Thanks for the information. Never really felt the need to add another layer even down to 42F water. It's usually my hands that are the problem. Of course here in Colorado a sunny day with no humidity is probably a lot easier to bear. Agree with the cold water through the Zip when you first get in though.
  8. I have used my Blacktec 2mm full suit down to 42 F degree water. Air maybe in the low 50's. Had more problems keeping my hands warm. I had to go to neoprene duck hunting gloves. After using the Blactec will not even consider getting another bulky, leaky dry suit. Same for others at the lake that have brought the Camaro. One thing is if there is any slight breeze after skiing a set the evaporation of the water of the suit cools you down really quickly. We either jump into a hot shower and take the suit off or quickly remove it and put dry togs on. Just stating my experience. Like everything else others experience and opinion will probably differ.
