  1. Where does the recent versions of S2 fit into @Hortons above descriptions?
  2. I've got a 2005 206, and my ski bud has a 2004 LXI. I like his wake a little better than mine, he likes the tracking and lack of vapor lock of my SN. Both are nice family friendly ski machines.
  3. Thanks Ball of Spray and Goode! Its always nice to win something, especially since it doesnt seem to happen very often.
  4. Just to clarify, I'll attend every single practice and will do what ever it takes to make sure I dont miss a game. I'd ski like crap and feel even worse if I was skiing while my kid was playing a soccer game. I'll admit that its as much fun for me to watch her play as it is for her to play. It's even better on the way home from her game when she asks if we have time to go to the lake today, because she would like to ski.
  5. My 10 yo girl has soccer Mon, and Thurs eves, and then at least 1 game if not more on Sat. Tournament weekends start on Fri, and end Sunday with all of us worn out. I'll trade skiing for family time and cheering on my daughter. I seek out a ski set as often as possible, but ski sets are fewer and farther between.
  6. Hey @Fatroll- Thanks for your efforts on getting the course back in shape!
  7. Norris Lake has one decent course and plenty of rentals. The course I know of is permited by skiers of knoxville, and its in Big Creek. Take a few course supplies with you (balls especially) when you go, everyone is welcome to ski it. Its not the best location, as detailed above with the backwash, but its better than nothing. Center Hill also has a course and some lakefront rentals, its a very nice lake also. Closest town is probably Cookeville TN. Tellico has some lakefront rentals and a couple of courses (skier of Knoxville also). http://www.sequoyahmarinaresort.com/ The mastercraft plant and our course is 5 minutes from there. Pretty decent food and fun atmosphere.
  8. @wish agree with above sixam 2.0 is very forgiving-stable- and short line capable.

    Mirror

Cipa extreme is a good alternative to the PTM edge, not as nice, but priced accordingly. The bracket will work for the ptm mirror if you decide to upgrade later. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CIPA-02022-Extreme-7-x-20-Marine-Mirror-/110965735545?pt=Boat_Parts_Accessories_Gear&hash=item19d612c079&vxp=mtr
  10. I was on sixam 2 and moved to a radar strada, easy transition.
  11. I purchased our 99 ski nautique from the original owner in 2002 with 14.7 hours on it. He was so ocd that he couldnt stand to use it, for fear of it getting dirty. He showed me the bill of sale from when he purchased it for $32,000. I Paid 23K for it, and sold it in 2007 for 21.5K with 350 hours on it.
  12. Goode gives you a 30 day trial on the fire series. Even if you drill it for bindings.
  13. The photo on page 70 was taken on the public lake we hang out on, not far from our club's slalom course.
  14. I am LFF and 5 9" tall 170lbs. Acording to the int rules a 66 would qualify. I'd love to hear from someone that has skied it at 30 mph - 28 off and shorter.
  15. How do you think it would perform at 30mph? I've never been on a goode.
  16. Would the Goode wide ride qualify for the int league wide ride division? How would it ski at 30mph? There are a couple on Ski it again at a reasonable price, and I started thinking.....
  17. Was talking with a tower company yesterday that made the original zero flex mc tower. They said weight of a tower alone is around 40-50lbs. Bimini i'm guessing is 15-20 at most. So your not adding much weight with the aircraft alum towers.
  18. Easily worth the trip, Parker is a good coach, if your looking for that and the place is pretty laid back.
  19. If you can run the shock by there it will be fool proof, if not try Part # 819-5620, but I cant guarantee that is correct. They should give you the choice of 20lb or 40, and the 20 is factory.
  20. Napa can x reference them and have them next day for you.

    Boat Advice

My budget is 30k or less, i like the rlx, but have a friend with one and during hottest part of summer he has some vapor lock issues. Does the 197 also suffer from vapor lock?

    Boat Advice

@Ntq206 thanks for the advice, what's the 206 wake like for kids and the wife skiing 15' off at 25-28 mph?
