  1. I wish I had a friend with a carbon pro to ski behind this summer. I love the idea that someone has the guts to compete with the big three in a small margin niche market.
  2. Poor man Pheasant hunting in South Dakota once a year, and a little quail and grouse hunting in TN. First year with my bird dog and wow what a nose.... He drives the wife nuts while I'm out of town for work.
  3. Thanks for the insight, I will start looking for a decent travel bag of some sort. I'm in the Knoxville tn area, and will be headed to st. pete fla. The family likes the beaches there, and McCormick's is just a 30 minute drive. It will be nice to break up the winter bleh's.
  4. You think i could do the oversize carry on, or should i check it? I have the shipping box, would that work?
  5. Has anyone had any experiences with allegiant air and transporting your ski?
  6. I was thinking about an eagle neo sock, but was unsure, especially with the cost being almost $100.00, glad I hesitated.
  7. What does everyone keep there ski in when its not being ski'd on? Any thoughts on the neo sleeves?
  8. BTW -Chuck my settings were very close to what you have posted, I think it was 6.90 tips, 2.495 and .730 with 8 degrees using the standard wing.
  9. With my strada bindings I was at 29 7/16 or 5/8 (dont remember exactly) ....I had one more hole I could go forward, the problem is I'm out of sunshine and warm temps. I either need to take this back, sell it or keep it. I have always had the feeling when I get on a new ski, it either has potential to work for me, or not, and I probably have a biased opinion of HO ski's since I tore my acl on the cdx, and never ski'd one since till the S2. So if no one wants this one, Its going back to the shop on Monday....Its a couple hundred under what I'm seeing them go for online, so I thought someone might be interested.
  10. I have a 66.5" S2 for sale, its brand new with 1 set on it. No scratches marks etc. $1000.00 plus shipping to lower 48. I will attach some pics later if anyone shows any interest.
  11. Wish, Sent you a PM about my S2, let me know if your interested.
  12. I was told S2 66.5 for skiers 150 -190lbs if memory serves me correctly. I'm 175 and on a 66.5, not that it makes it correct for me, but it feels good.
  13. Got the s2 and set it up per some of the conversations on here. mostly setting the dft, since it was .780 when it came. Set it at .745 and mounted my bindings and skied. My first impression is it ski's very tip high. Just standing on it and the water was breaking about the ball of my foot and the tip looked way out of the water. Could have just been me, but I have been working on trying to balance my weight centered over the ski. The on side was really turning hard, the offside was very sweet! I'm disappointed in the cross course speed, but it could be because half of the ski is out of the water. My initial impression isn't really great, I think the over turn on the on side can be easily solved, but the cross course speed, - not sure how to fix that. ( comparison to current ride on the elite.) Suggestions?
  14. I have an S2 on the way, should be here mid week, and hopefully the weather will cooperate and I'll be getting a few sets in on thurs or fri. I havent been on an HO since the CDX, and that was about 10 years ago or more.
  15. Do the strada bindings fit the current HO ski's? I've noticed the ho ski's have some additional holes for their hardshell bindings, but I'm guessing they have the standard HO holes also? Wish- X or XSL? not that much difference in price for the sl vs the s2.
  16. I'm looking for a new ski and would love some input/suggestions. 34mph skier, ran 22 for the first time and worked on 28 a few times this season. My worst habbit is to fall back onto the tail of ski on off side (lff). Whats the ballers suggestions for a new ski?
  17. Shane, are you still happy with the Goode Fire?
  18. Shane, are you still happy with the Goode Fire?
  19. Just like it says, if your upgrading and want to sell a 67 in great condition let me know. Thanks
  20. Skied much better this morning, life is back to being good again. I also remebered I had moved my binding one hole, so I moved it back and it felt much better. I need more ski time is one of my problems, kid in school, work is busy for me and ski partners and ski time is half what it should be, and it shows. Shane- how does the mid fire feel compaired to the elite? I probably need to keep working with the elite, there are a lot of things I like about it, but I've also always wanted to ski a goode, and the fire is pretty atractive priced and warranty looks good. Did you order inserts or drill your own, or ??
