  1. It says he bought it as a winter project last year and is selling now, seemingly before he finished the project... I would ask why... did it have more issues than it looks like? I’m sure he could have just decided it wasn’t worth it but you would think someone would consider that before buying a boat as a project
  2. If you have so many skiers in one division that you have to run it on 2 separate lakes with 2 separate drivers the qualifying score needs to be raised so all skiers have the same conditions. If I showed up & was told I have to ski on a windy, rolly lake when my competition does not, that would be my last nationals
  3. If it’s a V drive it’s not going to be a very good slalom boat, there’s no way around that. Read the handful of comments from people on this thread about the sport 200. I’ve been offered to ski a MC crossover, passed after looking at the wake. You are much better off with a TXI with a wedge and tower or a prostar with a tower than one of these
  4. I keep going back to my V Type. Skied it the first year it came out, then got the VTR next year. Skied that about half the season and went back to the V type. Skied V type all year last year, next time I go skiing I’m getting off

The pro and back on the v type to see what happens

  5. Life changes at 28, then again at 32, then again at 35, then again at 38, then again at 39, then again at 41. I don’t think 22 off is short line, but I do think it starts at either 32 or 35... That’s also where the pros start
  6. Anyone (not just Pete) saying outboards are better for skiing than inboards I honestly feel are trying to troll this forum. A boat is a tool like anything else. If I want to get a nail into a wall, I use a hammer. Could I use the opposite end of a screwdriver? Yeah, but the hammer is designed to hit nails. That’s what it’s meant for. Inboard are made for skiing. Will an outboard get you on top of the water behind a boat, maybe running some buoys? Yeah, but that’s not really what those boats are designed for. The people designing ski boats aren’t idiots, and people designing outboards aren’t geniuses, if an outboard offered an advantage over an inboard it would be offered. If a swivel seat was desired by skiers instead of a rear facing seat, it would be offered. The engineers who design boats for the big 3 know what they are doing, if they didn’t they either wouldn’t have jobs, or another company would come along, find designers who know what they’re doing, and they would sell ski boats. I skied behind outboards for years, today if I were offered a pull behind one I would most likely pass and save my energy and risk of injury for a set behind my boat. This is only my opinion.
  7. When I see a bucket seat I just can’t help but think someone thought “how do we make the boat look cheap, inefficient with seating space, and inefficent with storage space... wait, I have an idea” seating is already limited in a ski boat, and dyna-skis don’t look to have any more seating than an OB direct drive... not much reason to listen to me, I’m not now nor ever will be in the outboard ski boat market but it’s just my $.02
  8. Thanks all, I’m probably gonna have him work on keeping his ski on edge through the wake and getting his body position a little better before we look at the buoys. He’s getting a lot better every set so hopefully this doesn’t take as long as it did with me...

@LeonL that’s a really good idea, keeps him from busting his ass repeatedly trying to get to 2 ball
