  1. @skierjp I completley agree with you that they did a GREAT job with the FUNCTIONAL features of the boat. I withheld my opinion till I had a chance to see one up close and personal. At nationals, I had that chance. My initial thoughts were confirmed. To quote another skier I was having a conversation with. "When that boat is coming toward you, it has a face only a mother can love" I was eating lunch, and choked on my food laughing so hard.

I did get to ride in it pulling pin for several trickers. The interior was very well laid out and the functional features looked spot on. Props for that. The exterior not so much. Having a 200 now, and at least eight other Nautiques, not sure we will ever see one of these in our boat house. Even with the best features, I can't get past the looks. I keep seeing that face.

  2. Can someone explain in english the clarification that was posted on the USAWATERSKI website. It was really a cluster at this years Nationals with the addition of the Cup. My understanding of the old rule was.

Level 10 Overall skied Open in all three events AND Open Overall. You did not ski in any events in your age division. (this did not apply to any of the juniors)

Level 9 Overall. Allowed you to ski Open in the events that you held a Open rating in. (1 or 2 events) You skied in Open for placement in only the events you held ratings in. THEN you could ski in all three events in age division. BUT you could only place in Overall, and any events that you did not ski for placement in Open.

EXAMPLE: W1 Level 9 Overall with a Level 9 rating in slalom and jump, but level 6 in trick.

Could ski 5 times at Nationals. Once each in Open slalom and jump for placement based on L9 in each event. AND in each event in age division for placement only in trick and overall. This was in place in 2017 nationals. Not many understood the rule and not too many used it.

This year with the addition of the Cup, they sent a e-mail that said L9 can ski in Open for NON-placement in Open but to qualify for the cup. They left it up to the skier if it was for placement. This caused all sorts of confussion. In one case, a L10 overall skier was in age division sking for placement in several events???? This should have not happened.

    I AM SO CONFUSSED.

  3. @JeffSurdej players who picked Brittany in tricks, are getting addtional points for her first round score. They are gettin a prelim score of 4200 which is correct. They are also getting credit for a addtional score of 4070. She did not advance into the finals. They are getting a addtional 81.4 FWS points.

  4. Too much throttle and overshoot the set point too much, and this can be done with just about any boat. Sounds like the driver was not dialed in. Enough throttle needed to get to speed. Let the system engage, then throttle down. Knowing what it takes to get to set point is key. Throttle ALL the way to the floor at start with the bigger motors might be too much on the shorter lakes. I know you want to get to speed as quick as you can, be then you need to slow down.

I am a big guy. It used to drive me crazy when people who did not pull me frequently would drive for me. Pull out for the gates and the boat is accelerating past 34 to about 38/40. Turn in for the gates with a slack line and the boat decelerating to 34. 16.95 every pass. UGH. I can't count how many tournament passes I had like that.

  5. @MS if done correctly, the event judges are only supposed to see one replay in real time. In some of the higher trick runs that can be very difficult and can be over turned. I am not sure what the protocol is for the record approval process. @klindy ???
  6. @escmanaze when they start to malfunction in a few years, and they are out of warranty. ..... we will see how much people are attached to them. We had a 200 with the zero off round display. We had to replace it. Also had to replace a 200 with the linc system that malfunctioned. Another post here has a boat down with a zero off issue. Wait, the time will come soon with a bunch of high dollar boats needing 3500 displays replaced to use speed control. And you all thought hand driving was a lost art.
