  1. @GaryWilkinson look into what is required of the site (host) to get a tournament like this. Very few are willing to make the financial commitment. My guess is it cost the host several tens of thousand of dollars. Maybe things will change with the new iwwf change in leadership. No more French wine required to host the event.
  2. @Than_Bogan pretty sure you would not recognize the name of any of the 4 or 5 drivers at the event. Maybe Botas or Pigozzi. It gets very political at that level of events. My experience at iwwf events is that some of the drivers are....... Well lets just say that some class c have better pulls. Sad really. Kind of like the site conditions. Maybe the new president of the federatIon can improve things
  3. Noticed some good skiers for bargain costs. Filchenko in tricks for 50k. Really??? Relative to others he was a bargain. I must not have been paying close attention to costs. 600 for each point is too low. Look at your team and see what the cost per point is. Closer to 620 to 640. Heck call it 650. Did sledges score in trick get updated to reflect the 8900 points vs the 8100 that was first posted. I like the idea. Good beta tests and fun for bragging rights. Got my butt kicked in ms. JT nuvue and kolmann way below expectations. Ugh.
  4. @escmanaze sorry you got confused. You are questioning the 75K cost for a acre in AZ (asking "what is wrong" and "so it sounds too good to be true") vs the cost in Utah. My point was, that depending on what part of the country you are in, the cost IS very different. What a ski lot cost in Utah is different than AZ. The cost does not mean there is anything wrong with it.
  5. @Mark_Matis. The reason more sites are not bidding for nationals is the low number of skiers. Fixed costs for officials and infrastructure is the same for 600 or 1000. I bet san Marcos would love to have 1000 skies in a few weeks. I bet they are doing all they can to reduce fixed cost and increase profits from the event I bet 600 is barely above break even
