If your feet are in front of your hips, and you're not falling on your ass, then you are decelerating. The further your feet are in front of your hips, the more deceleration you will experience. More deceleration from centerline --> outbound, will take you on a shallower/narrower path to the buoy. #coordinates

Wow, thanks so much guys for the words of encouragement/support! Means a lot, to me, as well as the guys at HO that are sticking their necks out to support this effort. I will say that even @Horton was unaware at the start, that FlowPointTV and FlowPointPodcasts were 2 different things.....so its becoming apparent that my messaging could be clearer. Maybe I'll change the name of the podcast to "Between 2 Buoys, with MB" or something like that, just to keep it simple?... Also, @Than_Bogan and others who feel his sentiment, I would love to geek out and talk "skier + boat systems" and Speed vs Load all day long....but unfortunately that doesn't get likes on Facebook, nor shared and seen. So its a balancing act between telling these stories (that some hate) and talking shop (which some love).

The truth about FlowPointTV is, I have contacted or spoken with nearly every major player (manufacturer) in the industry, and aside from HO (and MC), I've received basically crickets. My hope for FlowPointTV has always been for it to be a vehicle for towed water sports content, no matter the brand or affiliation. Simply put, its wide open, but HO is the real reason that FlowPointTV is a thing at all. Without their faith, support and belief in my vision from day 1, there'd be nothing to show, and nothing to share.

@scotchipman it depends...but it wouldn't hurt to get on a 65" Syndicate Omni if you have the chance to. It could surprise you for sure! @Jordan Thanks! @DaveLemons I think this could be the best ski out there for Linda. Where's she at line-length wise at the moment? @BraceMaker the Carbon version is really good...just not quite as responsive and quick into the wake. But the shape is identical, and that's whats responsible for its killer stability and carving characteristics.

Here's a quick pass at 34mph 28off from earlier this evening. A lot of people are asking me about this ski, so I figured I'd give you a peek at what it looks like in the course. Its stable, predictable, and really fast from finish of turn to first wake. For 34 mph competition skiers (and especially 32 and 30 mph) this ski is going to become a lot of peoples new fav stick. Just as an aside, I've skied basically zero passes faster than 30 mph in the slalom course, in the past 4+ years. Tonight was only my 2nd ski ride back at a "real" speed in the course...so I'm very rusty and out of rhythm,...but even still, this ski is making skiing the course fun and easy again.

@Glydon I have a newer fin block and fin blade I can send you. Shoot me a DM with your details and I'll ship it out asap! Not sure why that is happening on this particular fin block, but lets get you sorted sooner rather than later. MB

Not trying to steal the thread here, but simply because of the success I've already seen with the new Omni series, I have to mention it. Yesterday, I put a young woman on the Carbon Omni, who had never run more than 3 buoys in here life (was skiing on last years HO CX). She immediately ran 2 full passes. At the higher end, of course you have to take this with a grain of salt, but Will Asher ran 41 off at 34.2 mph on the same Omni shape (Syndicate Omni, instead of Carbon Omni). The Omni is based on a Syndicate Pro rocker line, with a slightly wider platform, and clean-edge tail. It is a completely new design, that I've already seen people gain 4-6 buoys on, at line-lengths of 28 and 32 off, yet its something that allows me to freeski and get aggressive on in the open water. Incredibly well rounded ski. At the moment, probably because I'm still nursing my back, the Omni is the ski I get most excited about when I walk into my ski shed and turn the light on.

Enjoyed the heck out of your site in Ohio when we came thru with the F2F Tour back in the day. Thats the first time I saw Dane Mechler ski (he must have been like 11 or 12 then?) and I knew he was going to be a great skier! Was great seeing you last week! And of the record, there were plenty of people working way harder than me last week (and the weeks and months leading up to Nationals)....it was a great event, and I feel fortunate to have had a chance to showcase it through film. @JordanOz thanks man....I seem to search long and hard for the right sounds and music for these episodes (sometimes days...), so it feels good to hear people are as stoked as I am on the music. @RLW the ProStar will hang just as well, and just as long as any other brand. Probably not the best method for lifting any boat for an extended period of time, but if you've got no other option, I wouldn't be shying away from MC simply because you can't get the answer you want. When we designed the new ProStar, we ended up with more vertical hull sides than any other direct drive ski boat. So its probably the most structurally sound direct drive, when hung by lifting rings, as the hull sides are better oriented (as beams) to support the mass of the boat and engine in between the straps. Hope this makes sense.

@kirkbauer DJI products are pretty dialed...but one thing about the sports modes on both the P4's and the Mavic's is that it won't fly quite as stable as in GPS mode,...including not holding altitude as well. Definitely get in the habit of keeping your head on a swivel when you fly....so that you can always be checking back in (visually) with your drone and keep track of its position relative to hazards, like water/trees/powerlines, etc. Also, if you are filming barefooting and wanna avoid the rotors getting in your shot, either stay a bit higher, so you can angle the camera down a bit, or fly in front of the boat/footer, and fly backwards. Stoked to see you didn't lose it....that was a close call for sure!

But to be fair, if people think $200 to demo a high performance slalom ski is an outlandish price, I'd say you might be in the wrong sport. Cuz this one isn't getting any cheaper.

Just to be clear in regards to @OB1 comment, HO has a demo program for Syndicate Skis and Hardshell boots. Lets not start spreading mis-information.

Physics. Same principles Suyderhoud, @twhisper and I started developing over 20 years ago. Nate just has it polished better than everyone else....and he's talented. And, he's fueled by pop tarts...

It was a really fun weekend for sure! Thank you guys for the kind words, and big thanks to all those that came to support/watch/participate and (most importantly) volunteer for the event! Thru the years, my perspective has shifted....partly due to not getting to ski events....and its always nice to be reminded why we do this sport: the community, and the life lessons we learn through the act of participating and competing. Those lessons are most important for the youth. It was really cool to see the kids work through challenges on the water, and make new friends off the water.

@Horton not sure when you'll get to have a really good look at the ski (except in person, at Hill Top this weekend) before Nationals. We'll have some more eye candy for you Friday, but that's about all I can say...

@APB this was about as raw and real as it gets. All three sets happened during our film shoot, and I had no idea I was going to capture all three team members getting to the exit gates at 41. Because they all skied so well, I decided to put these together and get them out for you all to see. Not sure what you mean by no end gates for either, but I can promise there will be many more 41's going down on this new Syndicate Pro....so in the future, I'll make sure Nick holds onto the slack, and that the camera is a couple feet higher in the chase boat so you can see which side of the exit gate ball the Syn Pro passes.

Thanks @Andre @ALPJr ! And thanks Horton for the love. The level of Elite skiing is higher than it has been in the history of the sport....skiers at the Junior and Elite levels are insanely dedicated and talented, and its a special treat to get to cover it for a couple days.
