  1. I personally think all of the boats have there ups and downs! I like to blame it on the boat but then i realize it was probably my fault/ mistake
  2. @Than_Bogan i was there for about half of the meeting. I left right after the gate discussion ended. But it was not a good sign that besides me, i think you and maybe Scotty were the youngest ones there. Not a good sign for our region. It was interesting though when a show of hands went up for the gate change, i was surprised that most people agreed on the change. So maybe there is some hope after all.
  3. @MISkier although i LOVE our mastercraft, i agree that is isnt an easy boat to ski behind at slow speeds, but i has an awesome trick wake!!
  4. I felt this photo should be shared on BOS. My Dad took this photo at the Eastern Regionals this past week and i feel it is one awesome photo. The kids at the slower speeds take some of the most intense falls and this captures the moment before! Thankfully he was ok! Cant embed is because of copyrights http://www.apfphoto.com/Sports/WaterSkiing/2013-Eastern-Regionals/30967343_XmJTkv#!i=2678490503&k=33KLThW&lb=1&s=A
  5. After to listening to the Eastern Regional meeting i found this proposal very refreshing. I think it would be moving the sport in the right direction. I don't fully understand the new proposal and how it would work but i think the whole concept is good. The owner of Pangaea (Eastern Regionals site) seemed even more for this proposal after he has spent years and thousands on setting up gate video.
  6. @Than_Bogan is right on, we have serious leach problem until some fisherman starting stocking the lake/pond and after a few years the leaches are pretty much gone, besides some small ones here and there
  7. TXI, the Nautique is a great boat and i like driving it better than the malibu, but its more of JUST a tournament boat
  8. i find it crazy how she did it without any flips! that must be some crazy toe pass!
  9. I'd say when you start running 35, although i do see where people are coming from when they say cutting the rope in general!
  10. well i have a 2012 strada and love it! Though i have heard it is not for everyone. "NEW FOR 2013 IS THE ADDITION OF A TORSION ENABLING OFFSET CARBON TOP LAMINATE. BY OFFSET, WE MEAN THAT THE FIBER ORIENTATION HAS BEEN CHANGED TO GIVE THE SKI BETTER REBOUND AFTER TORSIONAL FLEX. IN RESEARCH, WE HAVE FOUND THIS TORSIONAL FLEXING ACTION OF THE SKI TO BE NECESSARY. IT’S NOT TO BE LIMITED, BUT TO BE CONTROLLED IN REBOUND BACK TO STATIC SHAPE. FINDING THE PERFECT BALANCE OF TORSIONAL STABILITY WHILE STILL ALLOWING THE SKI TO HAVE NECESSARY DYNAMIC ACTION AT THE FINISH OF THE TURN AND OFF THE SECOND WAKE HAS MADE OUR LEGENDARY SHAPE EVEN GREATER. SKI EARLIER IN THE COURSE AND FASTER OFF THE SECOND WAKE ON THE 2013 STRADA. OUR NEW TOP CONTOURS HAVE REDUCED UNNECESSARY WEIGHT IN THE TIP, BALANCING THE SKI, READY TO LEAD YOU INTO BATTLE." thats what it says on the radar website, wish i could help more! But its definitely worth trying out if you can!
  11. thats why i didnt feel safe in them, i loved how they fit/felt but i wanted to get them super tight every time i ski for more support! I didnt release from them once in my 3 years of using them (2 different sets because my feet grew) I have a fluid motion now, same design as the reflex in the front and a wiley in the back, i feel super safe and every time i have needed to i have been released...just my .02 with the strada boots
  12. would love to try this ski! i wonder how it would ski compared to my strada!
  13. yep, in the east here the weather has just been crappy, iv slalomed maybe 10 times, hopefully the weather starts getting consistently nice so we can really get into it : 0
  14. the radar boa gloves are sweet! i love how mine fit and the little cables that tighten them up work great, the only thing is mine are starting to fall apart a bit, it is my 2nd season with them now but they didnt hold up as well as the masterline pro locks, but maybe they made them more durable this year
  15. yes its pretty much over for me now, practice, school, homework, no time to ski right now....get to look forward to snow skiing though!
  16. It is true the Hurley Phantoms are probably the greatest boardshorts ever made, no seams, super stretchy, and incredibly light weight, Quiksilver also makes good boardies too, those seem to stay down better
  17. next year, i want to get more than 1 at 38, jump 135+ and trick 3500, setting higher expectations, going hard next summer, 2nd to last year in b3
  18. The Stealth boots look like a better way to break your leg, it wont snap your ankle but with that carbon tongue..ehh, my friend just broke his ankle in the fogman system too, im staying away from that system, Jamie loves it and thinks its foolproof but i dont think so IMHO
  19. i would also very much like to know this
  20. Go with a Canon t2i! great camera, GOpro works well but not great for filming skiing!
