  1. @jdarwin exactly! I think many guys take a break for a while after skiing as a kid or whatever and get back into it more towards mens 3 or 4, or at least thats what happens up here in NE, there is not many mens 1 or 2 skiers at all, and i think alot of people stop after boys 3 or girls 3
  2. something isn't right there then ^... just like what @mshaw200 said, jumping doesn't have to be unsafe if your smart about it, i totally agree with that, obviously if you want to go far your going to crash at somepoint, i had my first good jump crash in like 4 years this year, because i took a cut over my ability haha (wanted to get that 120), its all about pushing it in moderation
  3. well if you are standing up and pulling with the same intensity through the whole gates all the way to 1 your going to have to pull longer and then you will have to much speed = slack in the turn...instead of being aggressive right behind the boat, get a nice early edge change, and ride the rope all the way out to the ball
  4. idk what your coach was saying, you need to be fairly agressive right behind the boat, skiing the hips to the handle, and have a nice early edge change, but keeping the hands on the handle, that gets you too the bouy, staying patient and keeping you vision down course should lead to a good one ball, i try to ski my 32 just like my 28, its easy to over ski 32 iv found, by working too hard, pulling too long or not enough
  5. thats why i love to snow ski! i tried racing but hated it, the summer and waterskiing can be training, focus, practice and competition but snow skiing is just so free and you can flip spin slide whatever you want, i think thats why i love both waterski and snowski because there two total different aspects of my general picture of "skiing"
