I have loved both the CG fin and the whisperfin on numerous skis.
But every time I’ve tried the stock fin back on all skis I’ve been on, the stock fin just feels better.
Most freedom Aide
Most durable. All three.
Most flotation stokes.
Unless they changed it I think stokes would be best of all but the arm holes are too small.
Still prefer eagle overall.
I love the 6.0 but I will say that the 2020 on our lake which is just shy of 1900 feet has a hard time getting to 36 before the greens with the 4 blade.
Our 2021 gets here soon and curious if it’s the same. We have 3 blade on 2020
Where’s Scott Chipman when you need him. Good old surface area dilemma.
I wouldn’t look at surface area. The bevels, rocker and concave together really dictate how high a ski rides. My guess would be RevOcc would ride the highest.
@Bruce_Butterfield I have a 68.5 LFF flex 3 9970cc.
Absolutely love it with stock fin but I have a CG I’d like to try after my tournament in a few weeks.
Do you mind telling me your fin numbers and boots.
I tried it in my Revolution but I couldn’t get fin clamp to hold fin tight. Thoughts?
It’s interesting. All the way back to the N1 to this XTR cc. The nose just doesn’t stay down. Watch Regina at 39. But...... results matter. People get it done on that ski.
@pcmcon729 dont overlook the 9970 cc. This thing is incredible. It is a very different ski from the XTR. Creates way more space and continues to build angle all the way back to the first wake. Extremely forgiving and so fast.
FYI the pic on the website is not how they are making them now. Bundle buckle stays where it is and the liner is now a finished low liner. And it’s not cut down as low. It really is a nice product. I’ve had the reflex r style and this one is better. Foot comes out perfectly.
Even the Nautique’s I’ve had needed set up. Meaning adjust the rudder tab.
No difference in that and tuning the rudder by grinding on it.
They should all be close from the factory but some like more torque than others. Personal preference.
