I love my strada front. I started having a bit of trouble when leaving the top laces loose where the tongue of the liner would pop to the outside instead of being tucked in. This would cause the liner to press against the laces as if they were fully tightened. For now I rigged some Velcro straps I had to wrap the tongue tight in the liner (going to order some fluid motion liner cinch straps). It works great at releasing again and I find having the straps gives a bit more support to the liner.

Anyone have any results from the Goode record event?

@rico it just goes to show the mutual respect they have for each other. Dave understood the need for Nate to hold his D3 Quest during the interview and Nate in return did not promote the ski verbally. That is what is so great about this sport. You have the owner of another company interviewing Nate even though it will do nothing to help sales of his ski line. Shows a true passion for the sport and not just milking it for profits.

Than if OB is not able to schedule the trip I would be willing to drive it down for you if skiing was involved :)

Our 2013 promo does the same thing. We played with the cable and it is "better" but still very stiff. Was wondering if it was just our cable that was stiff but seems its a design flaw. Hopefully Nautique will make a fix for this problem if so many are having problems. This is our second "used" promo we have bought had a 2012 last year for a month and a half before selling it to pick up a 2013 in November. Anyone else notice the engine cover doesn't fit as well as the 2012 making the boat seem much louder? Boat still skis fine its just as if the quality control was a little bit lax during this batch (which is suprising since Nautique usually has such strict quality control)

I'm sure either of the radars would work well. I am on a 65 senate C and find it to be really forgiving while still having fast cross course speed. @gregy good luck trying to get in touch with him. I've emailed both Randy's and the customer service email addresses plus his vm is finally accepting messages again left a message Tuesday and still no answer back. I really want to support a sponsor of this great site but am at a loss for how to go about getting this fixed up.

@gregy the order was placed January 1 so yes its over 6 months. I really did not want to have to go down that road but trust me my father in law and I have discussed it. Not sure if they would allow us to do a chargeback after 6 months but seeing as I have emails from Randy admitting to having sent the wrong handles and assuring us the proper ones would be sent promptly they might accept it. Would just be a lot easier not to have to do that. I do not want to make trouble for randy at all I would just like a response with when we can expect our handles and hopefully its sooner rather than later.

Sorry to bump this back up but I cannot reach Randy by any means. Calling is useless since voicemail is full and he has not responded to any of our e-mails. @Horton have you had any contact with Randy in a while?

I understand he was been swamped with orders since January but you would think by now he would have it organized enough to get the orders out. Hire some help if needed. My father in law was in Florida all winter hoping to ski with the new handles and it never happened and the way things are going now we might miss our season here as well which is kind of frustrating. It was May 12-13 when I spoke with Randy to let him know the handles he sent were wrong which he admitted to upon further inspection of the online order form. We are now almost 2 months later and still no sign of the right handles or any response to our request for an update.

@ral I don't know what is worse not having anything or having to look at the controlled stretch mainlines and wrong handles wanting to try them out but not trying them since the handles must be either sold or sent back by me.

Still have not received the proper handles even after randy sent us an email back in early may saying he would ship them asap. I e-mailed him last Monday and still no reply. Called today and mailbox is full. With how short our season is up here in Canada I wonder if we will even get to use our handles. I understand being busy and all but an order from January 1st should be taken care of by now...even with the mix up of handles. Anybody else waiting still?

@killer deserves the biggest panda of all...I'm pretty sure a guy that goes out and challenges the current world record 80-90% of the time does plenty for selling the excitement that is slalom water skiing. The fact that he is a little more soft spoken and humble then other skiers should not discount what he has done and continues to do for the sport.

Friend just brought our hadles back from florida for us since they were not ready when we were leaving to come back. Was very excited until I noticed they were not the handles we ordered. We got 2 regular radius when we ordered 2 Gordon Rathbun pro comp with spectra line. Anyone else have this happen?

I am waiting on an order placed during the 2 for one special from back in december as well. Weird thing is Randy sent me a tracking number last week and assured me they would arrive in Florida before my departure date of tomorrow. Still only the initial request for pick up update with the tracking number and no handles in sight. I too am a bit worried as my emails are bouncing back.

If you aren't looking for extreme coaching/fin set up help (i.e chet raley) I suggest trying Bobby Pine at LTS ski school. He's right off the 95 in Pompano Beach (about 10-15 mins north of fort lauderdale) He uses a 2006 nautique 196 with perfect pass and has 2 slalom courses located on separate lakes for changing wind conditions.
