  1. Marcus and Terry thank you for making this FlowPoint. Terry’s perspectives are so down to earth and honest, it rejuvenated my appreciation for the men and women that travel and compete in our sport. This is great stuff and we need more of it.
  2. When I ski I use 2 fins now. A Denali mounted on my ski and the stock fin clinched between my but cheeks. A great ski coach told me to hold a quarter there while skiing but why waist something of value?
  3. Watching a few of the streamed tournaments this season I really thought it was cool when they had a camera on the driver. It might not be fair to the driver to have the added pressure of a camera pointed at them but to see their technique is helpful to a novice like myself. One thing that jumped out at me was how the pull up set the tone for the pass.
  4. Ski_Dad, it is definitely the ski! It’s a great ski but requires a very smooth pull up. Ask your driver to go smoothly to 1/3 or half throttle and leave it there until your up and skiing. Also pay attention to what your wearing when you have a good day vs a bad day. Board shorts with stretch material in the legs makes a big difference in helping in the pull up. If your wearing a wetsuit and notice it’s harder to get up try wearing board shorts over the top. It’s not the best look but it can make a big difference. Hope this helps.
  5. Slightly off topic but if I have a guest skiing with us that normally skis classic PP and is struggling with their passes I will set Zero Off to RPM and dial in the appropriate rpm for desired speed and it will hold that RPM for them and feel like PP. You have to make an educated guess for RPM on the first pass but generally not to hard to get dialed in.
  6. MB in an RV shooting FPTV with the coolest cat in waterskiing! Absolutely perfect.
  7. @bananaron reading your post gives me hope that I can keep doing this for a while yet. Did you land a boat with heated seats for your driver? Do you have a picture of your newest tug?
  8. $700 is steep. Interesting the ticket was obstructing. From my experience I would expect unattended, obstructing possibly carried higher fine? We have been informed never to leave our course in unattended with out a permit in WI. If the ticket was issued from a game warden I would expect they received a complaint or multiple complaints. In WI I believe ski course or race course are all viewed the same. I wish you the best of luck and hope the judge views it as excessive as well.
  9. This is a photo of the wake @ 32 mph from my 2008 boss 190, the black and white one above. 15 off wakes are exceptional. 22 off has a slight bump, 28 and shorter are very good. Tracking is good, my wife drives for me and prefers driving it over the new boats. She likes the visibility and ergonomics. I switched ours to zero off from PP.
  10. I have been trying my new Danali CG fin on every ski I can get my hands on. What’s impressed me the most is on wider skis that I had trouble getting up on edge the CG fin has allowed me to get these skis to hold great angle. Two wide skis that I tride that normally hit their grove 32 mph now are very comfortable at 34. The CG fin on the wide ride skis have become my favorite and very much worth a try.
  11. racerdjs that is one of the coolest boats I have ever seen! The photo from the factory is really cool.
  12. Last night a friend let me try his CG fin. I have been trying new skis this year because I have it in my head my TX SL is getting tired. Trying different skis has not helped my skiing at all and my off side is not good. Mounted CG on my TX -.015 dft and +.010 in depth from my normal fin length. First pass I was wide and early at every ball. Amazing. What i found so significant was I had no problem keeping my handle in close and never got pulled out from over loading. Ended the night with the best two sets of skiing in years. Ordered my own fin as soon as I put the boat away. I’m done shopping for a new ski, the TX with a CG fin will be all I need until Danali designs a ski for fat old guys.
  13. @savaiusini can you tell us is the width similar to the S2? S2 was one of my favorites.
  14. @eleeski ski went out this morning. You should have it next week. I appreciate what your doing and thank you for ending this on a positive note.
