  1. Chris Rossi made the switch from "wrong" to "correct" grip and recommends it. I have tried and just can't do it, but can see how it would improve your offside lean.
  2. Being in a stacked position allows you to more efficiently gain on the boat.
  3. In case you didn't already know about this: https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Real_Estate
  4. @Dirt they have to be members to ski in AWSA tournaments so they are paying into AWSA just as much as you are.
  5. Blah blah blah, wah wah wah. The fact is, Canada's own government statistics (it's their little chart, not mine) shows that your statement that "the carbon tax keeps increasing which has caused an noticeable (emphasis mine) increase in prices of EVERYTHING" doesn't seem to be very true. If you want to come up with your own little chart, that's great. But I tend to given more credibility to real stats than anecdotes. Your mileage may vary.
  6. I don't know ... it looks like the rise in Canada's consumer price index has been pretty steady over the last 25 years. Long before any carbon tax was introduced. https://d3fy651gv2fhd3.cloudfront.net/charts/canada-consumer-price-index-cpi.png?s=canadaconpriindcpi&v=202101071800V20200908&d1=19960114
  7. The price of gas goes up in strong economies (because demand goes up) and down in weak economies (demand goes down), so no surprise that it's been pretty low lately. I also expect the price of gas to increase, just not so sure about an "all time high."
  8. @Jody_Seal what do you base that prediction on?
  9. $150 x 4 (dad and three kids) adds up fast!
  10. @golfguy thanks for the good info. What are the rest of you tournament organizers estimating for boat hours? The tournament I organize is three rounds of slalom, about 30 skiers. Trying to figure out how many boat hours that is so I can determine our entry fee. Thanks.

    Boat transport

Nothing official yet @lpskier but hope to have a deal finalized soon.

    Boat transport

Dumb question: Do the U-ship drivers put boats on a flatbed or just tow behind their trucks?
  13. Get ZBox. It might be the best $400 you can spend in this sport.
  14. I've found that Stargazer with Zbox is close enough for me. I can back and forth between it and Zero Off and not really have any problems with it. Same with my ski partners.
  15. My wife has one condition and one condition only: no crazy colors. Unfortunately that eliminates quite a few recent-model ProStars. Regarding the boat above, I actually like the interior colors more than I thought I would. I wish the exterior matched the interior, but hey, you put down the cash you get to pick your own colors!
  16. @jjackkrash I missed out on THE boat by one day. By the time I saw it I was number 4 in line ...
  17. @Bruce_Butterfield unfortunately that boat sold weeks ago and the owner has just "forgotten" to take it down.
  18. Thanks @Bruce_Butterfield they haven't caught the tricking bug yet but I'll keep trying. Drivability is a big deal as my wife is not very comfortable driving and this will be the boat I hope to train my kids to drive on. That gives the 200 a big edge in my book.
  19. Thank you @markn but I have ruled out a 196. Now, if I didn't have three kids ...
  20. The supply of used boats for sale on ski-it-again, only inboards, boat trader (all which I search compulsively), etc., is getting pretty thin as we head into winter. So I thought I’d reach out to fellow ballers in case any of you knew of other boats for sale or boats that will hit the market soon. I’m fairly open to year/models, but in general I’m looking for: Nautique 200 (closed or open bow), MC Prostar (08 and newer), Malibu Response (08 and newer) 30-45k budget Probably no more than 800 hours Everything must work Preferably east of the Mississippi No crazy colors (my wife’s only condition) Thanks everyone.
  21. Any time someone says "kids these days are lazy" they should be directed to the comment from @Timr71 above.
