  1. @jayski @ski6jones haha. #outtatownchris
  2. The 3 lakes run pretty much north and south. South winds are the prevailing winds in dfw. You will definitely have to learn to ski in the wind here. July and August are relatively calm. It's not so bad once you get used to it. Lot's of great skiers in the area. you'll have fun. chris
  3. no. there have been lots of improvements to those lakes recently. there are lots of tourney around dfw in the summer months. hope that helps chris
  4. @ForrestGump that's probably not the only rehab you've been too :)
  5. I had my wife film from the shoreline with her iPhone. This is 35. I'll try to get her in the boat tomorrow. It's supposed to get cold next week. Bummer... the ski is fun to ride and is very predictable. Offside is very good
  6. This ski is very easy to ski on. I feel like I should go back with the fin and or a little deeper and shorter. That being said i ran back to back 35's on it today and am able to catch up or scramble if the wheels blow off.
  7. @JoelHowley I skied yesterday evening about 10 minutes before dark. I only took 4 passes but ran a nice 35. The ski feels good with no drama at all. I'll try to get some pics or a video. I've only had to make 1 binding move since my first ride 3 days ago and the fin has been in the same place. That almost never happens. It's definitely got some real potential I'm running 2.455, 6.950. .770 and 7 degrees on the wing with the VT tail piece
  8. @Gashley @LK_skier I am using the square tail. I figured I would get the fin and bindings sorta locked down and then try the different tail pieces. BTW I am using the shallow long set up. Looking fwd to getting back out there today
  9. Rode the DV8 last night for the 1st time. Still getting used the different feel coming from a Radar and KD. Ran 2-28's and 4-32's. Felt like it had a lots of tip pressure. Took another set at lunch today. Same fin position but moved both bindings back an 1/8". Ran 1-28, 3-32's, 1-35 and 2@38. I got crushed at 1 so I was assback going to 2. 1st impression is the carryout is great and it has a really nice offside.
  10. Congrats to Terry. He's an awesome skier and a great person as well.
  11. Thanks @The_Krista , @CollinSpradlin and @jjackkrash for the fin info and @Sethski for sending me one
  12. Hi @jjackkrash or @JoelHowley I don't see the DV8 fin setting on the website. Can you send me a link. thx Chris
  13. @jjackkrash where did u start with the fin and bindings. I just got my 67 today
  14. I am trying a Connelly GT. It feels way different than my 2020 Vapor. I am trying the new Connelly DV8 next week.
