  1. I dream about waterskiing when I'm awake...!
  2. During the season, how many sets do you do per week/season? weekly...... 1-5 6-10 11-15 16-20 20+ It would be interesting to see if I am a freak or not. Actually, it would be nice to see if it is just me, or does everybody do lots of sets and see only small improvements in buoy count....
  3. Uship.com......is your friend....try it, you will be amazed at how cheap you can ship a boat....
  4. You kind of forget how big it is. Here's putting it in perspective....I could drive from my house to Orlando faster than I could to Sioux Lookout! Hard to beleive......... but true.
  5. Wow, that is up there...I don't know any off hand but could ask around for you. You know, that spot is in my own province and is STILL a 26 hour drive from me! Looks like a ton of lakes though...........
  6. I agree with Hugh if you want to save a few bucks go with a 94 prostar, that was the first year of fuel injection. That being said, I used to own a 93 prostar 205 that was carbed that was probably my favourite boat I have ever owned. Go 98 or newer on a response LX and the SN is a really good bet.
  7. Hey any idea why those lake pics don't come up larger when you click on them? Am I posting them wrong? Rob
  8. Ya I think the diagonals will be my friend here. So the red represents the slalom course to approx scale at at total of 1200 feet with 55's. Gonna to try to have a better look at the site today at some point. Probably frozen but might be a good way to do a potential layout...
  9. Ya I was thinking the same thing....something like this...
  10. Oh you need speed control.....especially if your wife is driving!....it could save your marriage............seriously!
  11. I am an MC guy but don't buy that boat....not a great hull...The response LX will be cheap and have a decent wake. My buddy has a 99 and it's pretty good, ski's nice and handles well. I think a 196 Nautique is a great option and are relatively inexpensive, at least around here, beacuase of the closed bow. I would stay away from the supra but I have never skied one......
  12. My lake is frozen, but lake Ontario is wide open and looking good...if anyone wants to pull their boat out of storage, I have an extra drysuit with their name on it!
  13. Hmmm, the pic is working that well, lets try it again....
  14. Okay so here is a pic of the potential lake. Let me know what you think for possibilites. The wind is usually from the south/south west in the summer.
  15. WOW! That's brave man....that ice doesn't look thick.... Awesome pic. I have a pipe dream of putting on my hockey gear and having someone pull me through that exact course with my snowmobile....I think I could run 15@22mph no problem on skates!
  16. With all this talk about still being on the water in January I was feeling a little on the wussy side, so I took a few pics on Sunday to make myself feel a bit tougher. Just imagine yourself pulling out at the 55's where the two people are............
  17. You guys are hard core........and that's coming from a Canadian!
  18. If I am not mistaken 1200' is the actual length of a full 6 buoy course with the 55's no? OB, that's a great option. Bud Davis emailed me a great diagram of the 6/4 buoy overlapped course...
  19. Go to Matt Rini's place in Orlando. It's about 10 mins from the airport and 35 mins from Travers. mattrini.com
  20. I will try to get a shot off google earth tonight, unless i am having a few pints..of course than it will be tomorrow. Anybody ski here at John's lake? It's an 8 ball course with a dog leg and is allegedly 1200ft. It's in Colesville, NJ.
  21. Actually this site does have a good sized dog leg at one end......
  22. Hi guys Just wondering what the options are for a lake that is only 1350 feet long. I think a 4 buoy course would be okay, but is there any way to squeeze in an 8 buoy overlapped one? Anyone have any experience with a lake of this size? Thanks Rob
