  1. Currently have one but need a new one. Did not like the 2022(and it broke, handle pop) and since I didn't like the 2022, I don't think I will like the 23. Really like the 2021.
  2. @Horton They deleted the rear cinch string. Its basically the old school high wrap now.
  3. @Broussard I have, but imagine it will run dry soon. Might bit the bullet if I come up with a good option.
  4. I have been skiing HO animals for the last 8 or 9 years. I ski consistently into 35off 34mph. What boot do I go to now. I'm a double boot guy. What would you suggest? Not sure I want to go down the learning curve of the hard shell, is it worth it? Don't know that it matters, but I'm a big guy, 6'2 235lbs. Wear a XL animal.
  5. I'm the contact for Panther Lake Ski Club. Give me a call if you want more information. I'll send you a PM.
  6. Mine does the same thing. I think its from the wear on the handle, it creates a bevel that turns it into a "prop". Putting the handle on the pylon and dragging the rope does get most of it out.
  7. I run the panther lake club. Give me a call if you want to talk. We start March April with just a heater top. And will ski till end of October with just the heater top. Dry suit could ski just about year round. January and February get really cold, just not enjoyable for me. 9196101492 jason.
  8. We have openings in south Raleigh, NC (Willow Springs) area. Let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested.
  9. It’s that time of year again! Looking for a few good men/women for our beautiful site!

  11. @arigold22 it was good to meet you last night. For the others I am the contact at Panther Lake, feel free to get in touch. I should be on here more. Spread the word! https://www.facebook.com/Panther-Ski-Club-189800424394208/
  12. Anyone in the Raleigh area looking ski on a private lake? We still have openings.
  13. I am not a science kind of guy and most of this stuff goes right over my head. But isn't a lot of this thrown out the window by the ski dynamics? How much is the ski changing as the temp changes? Is the ski stiffer? Less flex? Even the bindings change, at least for us rubber boot skiers. I have always wondered how much this plays into cold water skiing and you folks may be smart enough to answer this.
  14. I was stuck at 15 for a while when I started back skiing a few years ago at around 40 years old. I found that Video was the key for me making the progression. I am now skiing into 35 and am back to watching video to change things for the better. 9 times out of ten its not the equipment that is the problem. Concentrate on your form and it will all come together. Video review if you can.
  15. I'm still on my Sixam. Finishing out the season. I've got the bug but just can't pull the trigger.
  16. Does Virginia have a water ski association? If so contact them, they may be able to help. Just a thought. How about AWSA?
  17. I have been working on getting my weight forward, Making some progress. Feels different for sure, but I know its for the greater good. Not sure I am doing better at the shorter lengths. Though I have been pretty consistent on my -32s since I have been working on it. And the few 35s have been deeper.
  18. Here is the same pass at full speed.
  19. The video is at 28off 34mph. Does the same thing at any line length 15off through 35off. Makes the shorter lengths very difficult. The ski is a 69" Sixam and I'm 6'3" 240-245lbs.
  20. I have a pretty heavy hop/ bounce on my offside turn. I have tried a few things to stop it but with little success. Give me your thoughts.
  21. I have noticed that most ski manufacturers are not making (new) skies in the bigger sizes. I'm a big guy, 6'3 240-245lbs. I ski regularly into 32 off at 34mph and occasionally 35 off. With a PB of 4 at 35. I currently ski on a Sixxam and an considering a change and have found that big skies are somewhat hard to come by. Now manufacturers are saying a 68 is good at 34mph for anyone over 190lbs, I'm a long way from that. Are there just not that many big guys skiing? What is a big guy to do? I'm looking at the used market so I can stay married.
