  1. got the same exact emails when trying sell my nano XT, I suggested they ise PP friends and family so I wouldn't get charged the extra 3% from PP, they didn't like that so I pulled the skied off the market for now. Good to know they might follow through
  2. @Goodeskier, @AlbertoSoares, I understand thank you I will try it but Isnt the ability to slide the boot further forward dictated by the slot under the binding, . Im as far forward as I can go, not because the rear toe is touching the heel of the front, but because it cant move any further. Is that still ok?
  3. @Goodeskier, @davemiller, can you give me any photos of your rear boot? I have large powershells and cant get them any closer then 16.75. @davemillers fin settings look pretty stock aside from the rear boot. So this maybe my answer to a better off side turn....thanks in advance
  4. great to do business with, highly recommend her Been using her handles and tow lines for 6 yrs now. Glad to see she now has a web store
  5. I haven't touched the fin. besides the wing. I did account for slot caliper settings by adding .58 to the jaws and it does seem to be factory set to the specs, DFT .696-.701( depending how you measure). I'll give it a try again today and see what develops. Just seems i'm running my front heel way longer then most, Thanks @OB, @SkiJay
  6. hey , can anyone help with Xt settings. 34/28-32' skier 160lbs on a 65.25, fin is stock. Ive tried numerous binding placement started at 28 7/8 moved 28.5, now at 29. While this really helps my off side, my on side is stuck. I tend to want to hook my onside turn and close off my shoulder quickly during the reach back for the handle. The skis tends to want to not come around( while it is better at 28.8, I fall back onto the tail and then get too much speed) I thought this ski would be a whole lot easier to ski on. Wing now at 7', trying to lose the drag on the on sideturn. Off side is good at 29'', but the further back I go, the worse the off side gets. suggestions?
  7. I'd like a chance... skiing for many yrs, some would say incorrectly. For the past 3 yrs I have worked my way up the line and speed from 32 mph 15 to 34 mph 28'. Can run maybe 2 at 32' 34mph on a good day. Technique is getting better, muscle memory getting better. But there in lies the problem. When you start to get to these line lengths, you need the technique, the strength and the ability to recognize the right and wrongs.. A coach + program like the Mapple training system is offering would indeed help me get to this summers goal of running 32' and some # at 35'. I have access via membership to a private tournament site in nor cal, and ability to ski 1-2 days a week all winter. A Z box MC or Zero off MC to train with and ski partners that can all run 35 and 38. I record sets with ski -doc and have spent countless hrs watching the best of the best at tournaments here in Cali. trying to figure it all out. I'm committed to improving my skiing and would like to participate in some summer tourneys in '14. But need the bouy count to improve some. 48' water doesn't scare me. Lets do this.... @Horton I'll even wear my BOS shirt:)- thanks to Matt
  8. ordered mine, and received in a few days, no problem
  9. I also have experienced everything @goodeskier says about Zbox. I have a '00 MC 190, no problem with short set ups either. Times and pulls are great. Worth the investment . Good luck with your pal.
  10. I think you will have to try and get the segment times (usually down arrow key) after your pass. to really see what the boat is doing. Take the rpms down 90-100( so in your case 3200) and see what happens. Thought this does seem low for 34mph. Make sure crew weight is not at 0 and maybe try 250lbs as a base. To see if its inverted try to run the start up menu all over again.
  11. ski -doc is really good with the right camera for $59 its worth it. Kodak playsport works great
  12. yep, what he said easiest way for sure
  13. I have a 2000 MC prostar for sale far better then both, but i'd lean towards the SN between those two 94, 97' you can see it on SIA
  14. I think you will like the Z box. Even if your not running tournaments, its a nice upgrade. It does change the feel of the pull from the boat and will allow you to advance your skiing, (my opinion). plus those that ski with you, that might be use to zero off can then get a similar pull. The main thing for my boat '00 prostar, was that Z box helped get the boat entry speed and ball times closer to exact and less adjusting going on thru the course, then I could ever get with adjusting background settings and or RPM's. Of course everything is dependent on the boat whether its DBW or mechanical servo,4 blade, 3 blade, 1:1 or 1.5./1 tran. etc.... course mapping definitely is a plus.
  15. going, but not skiing, giving free physical therapy on those that might need that extra edge :)
  16. Not sure anymore about the lake and its courses, Pretty much think Fish and Game have gotten rid of all that. Check out Holiday Harbor like suggested, there's still a chance, however . I live in Redding, so if you want to ski a course I maybe open on Sunday if interested. Just post again with a cell# and I will text or call you. check out reddingwakeboard andskipark.com
  17. yes it will work on any boat
  18. I believe the SG upgrade was well worth it. More accurate segment times, GPS speed., and now no magnet timing. As for Z box just depends how often you want to run a tourney or get a chance to ski behind a ZO boat. The zbox has been a positive upgrade for me, but some would agree that its probably not worth the cost as it didn't effect their skiing. Classic is great, but gone are the days where you have to enter in skier wt, wind adj, etc.

  20. Just upgraded to Z box. I had been running the 8.0.2 software for a while, but it was not as good on my '00 MC prostar 190 with 5.7 power slot /4 blade prop as the previous timed magnet versions. 7.0.6. Times with the new software were slightly fast at 1 ball and slow at 3 ball but still managed 16.97 out the gates regardless of skier and skier weight. Now running Z box, I had to upgrade to a new module ( I had one of the original stargazer modules that wouldn't handle the z box voltage). Times straight out of the box with my old RPMs were 1.76, 7.12, 9.82, 16.96/95's I also noticed that the z box pre factory setting is now down to 8 vs 11, and version 8.0.4 R includes a + to add to the A B C settings . So overall very happy thus far with Z box first trials . Also noticed entry speeds are 34.3-34.7 vs 35 mph at the gates. Keep the forum going , looking to simulate that zero off pull as close as possible
  21. Has any one had this problem? I like the new 8.0.2 software for SG, but since the upgrade My boat a '00 MC 190 powerslot, will run 16.97 all the time. I have tried playing with the KX ( now running it at +) and the segments ball times and nothing really seems to change. Ever. Which I think is weird. My crew weight is #325, ball 1 time 1.75/.76, then 4.43, 7.15, 12.50, 15.27, 16.97. The pull really does feel fine and doesn't run away, but these background numbers don't seem to change anything for me. Ive even tried light, feather and heavy, and its still the same. Regardless of skier. Maybe I should just me happy with 16.97 and a solid pass.
  22. Bob Lapoint was quoted in a waterski mag interview once, with the question, What kind of advice would you give someone with a new ski that is attempting to learn the course.? he replied" I would have them remove the wing" .. I think its a good idea, unless your getting into 32 off . Learning how to edge change and weight shift on the ski is very important. Your ski should come around the buoy a lot quicker with less drag. The "slack" you refer to can be caused by many things, but I would guess its because your pulling to long to the buoy and then trying to dump all that speed and turn and without the wing, the ski is rearing up on its tail as you try and round the turn. Stay centered on the ski weight shift going into the turn, and edge change after you cross the wake should help.
  23. ski doc works great for the price. Even bought a cheap Iphone holder to sit on top and works real well.
  24. Congrats, nice place. I ski on a similar site, just approved/opened for cable last yr. While wake island is larger., we have pretty nice ski lake and Cable for boarders also, well protected. 2hrs north of Sac. Check out www.reddingwakeboardandskipark.com .
  25. check out my lisitng on ski-it-again. I have the module and display you need. Since Ive upgraded my SG I could also add in a smart timer for you at an additonal cost. It likley is 5.0, but I have an old stick that I can include for you free. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Speed_Ctrl&postid=22352
