  1. I've been using Accuflaot slalom courses for over 20 years. There are a few tricks to installing them. First use screw anchors. Also go te West Marine and buy a boat winch. The biggest key is to make sure the anchor line is long enough. My course is in 10' of water and the anchor lines are 200 feet long., This serves 2 purposes. 1) the extra anchor line length does not pull the entrance gates under water when the course is pulled tight. 2) you now have a reference point to measue and mark your pre gates at 180 feet. I have Mike Suyderhound make my anchor lines out of the same cable as the course.

    When installing the course use temporary anchors ( 3 cement block). Also use rope for temporary anchors. Spool the cable into the water using only the PVC for the entrance and exit gates. Do not install the PVC for any of the turn buoys. When you reach the sections ( ball 1 - 6 ) attach a buoy so you know where the PVC goes. After you drag the course around to the prefered spot attach the winch and stainlless cables ( 200' ) and dive to screw the anchors in. The next step is to install the 6 PVC sections at the marker buoys. As you install the sections the course will get shorter as you spread the diamond sections open. By the time you install the last one the course will be nearly tight. WARNING -- make sure you have approx 20 feet of cable on the winch incase you need slack.

    BTW -- remove the web strap from the boat winch and attach the cable to the winch. Also the winch is attached to the entrance gate diamond with a "make a link" connector.

    I keep my course so tight you can hardly pull the PVC to the surface to change a buoy !!!!!!!

  2. 422 ( 5.7 liter ) is stamped on the prop near the nut you can see it very easy

    654 ( 6 liter ) is in the same place.

    These are the only 4 blade props approved by AWSA. I'm not sure what the nember is for the 3 blade but it is usually only used for jump with the 5.7

    The 422 is now available for Recreation use only.

    Florida Boating Safety – Educational Requirements

    Florida Boating Safety Educational Requirements were updated January 1, 2010. This update requires boat operators who were born on or after January 1, 1988 to obtain a Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card in order to operate a motorboat with ten horsepower or more.

    Are some people who were born on or after January 1, 1988 exempt from these boating safety educational requirements?

    Yes, there are some exemptions. Below is a list of those exemptions.

     A person licensed by the U. S. Coast Guard as a master of a vessel.

     A person operating on a private lake or pond.

     An operator who is accompanied onboard by a person who is least 18 years old and possesses the required Boating Safety Education Identification Card, provided that person is attendant to and responsible for the safe operation of the vessel.

     An operator who is accompanied onboard by a person who is exempt from the educational requirements, provided that person is attendant to and responsible for the safe operation of the vessel.

     A non-resident who has in his or her possession proof that he or she has completed a NASBLA-approved boater safety course or equivalency examination from another state.

     A person is operating a vessel within 90 days after the purchase of that vessel and has available for inspection aboard that vessel a bill of sale meeting all the requirements as established in Chapter 328.46(1), Florida Statutes.

     A person operating a vessel within 90 days after completing an approved boating safety course, as required in Chapter 327.395(1), and has a photographic I.D. and a boater education course completion certificate showing proof of having completed the required boating safety education course. The course completion certificate must provide the student's first and last name

  4. 20 bucks a set or a FUll 5 gallons of gas.

    Roger, not a problem with the $10 per set and then we rotate boats the next day. My deal is the tourist and the skiers that don't own a boat but are still tournament skiers. $10 bucks is a great deal for not having to spend over 50K.

    Also, you guys are always jammed at OK so that means your boat goes through the rotation twice before you get your second set. To me, not worth $10. To wait that long it's not worth $20 :)

  5. The 67 inch ski will not fit in the 67 bag. You have to purchase the 68 - 71 bag. Performance Ski and Surf took great care of me. They know about the poroblem. Bill sells a ton of Radars here in Florida.

    BTW my label just started coming off the Radar Strada boot. I've had them for over 2 years, not bad. I didn't buy them for the label.

  6. The proiblem with the Fogman and EXO system is when you stuff the ski at the buoy or roll out the front, just a easy fall but prepare for bad ankle injuries. The bindings do not release in this type fall. The ski flexes and the release point gets tighter. Any other fall and they release fine. I skied Fogmans for 11 years and switched to Strada boots.

    Another point in comparing EXO / Fogman / PowerShell to Strada. Look at the mounting points. The Fogman /EXO's / PowerShells are mounted directly under your foot. The Strada is mounted to the ski at the furthest points to the edge of the ski. I think you will find the Strada boots a more reactive system. Rossi brought this to my attention when I was making the switch. The Fogmans actually wobble on the ski when you stand on the platform.

    Another point, The only thing I've had to replace on the Stradas are the top bungee string. No more buckles, release pistons or Duel Lock to screw with!!!

  7. I've been using the mirror for over a week. You have total view from side to side even pulling 38 off. Actually the shorter the rope the better the view. It's great for practice when you only have one person in the boat. The mirror quality and hardware is awesome. When you adjust the mirrror it stays put, it won't move out of adjustment like other mirrors. I have it on my 2012 Nautique 200 with the boats factory bracket and extension.
