  1. Not to sound harsh but name on pro who starts at -39 with slow speed! My friend is struggling at the same place you are and has the same idea. After 2 summers of telling him it's the wrong approach I have in. Now he can't even make 32mph -15. If you want to be able to run -28 your going to need to be able to ski the longer lines correctly. Making six turns and having 3-4 of them correct will lead to shorter lines!!
  2. My ski partners son is the same weight and is on the Connelly Prodigy. He went right from the jr amigo to this ski. Works great from 15.5 to 22 off. Price is reasonable also!
  3. Place rocks! Great people also. I make the 3.5 hour trip every chance I get.

Yes it will raise the tip of the ski. If it's overturning onside give the fin some depth only.
  5. Lex and I skied until almost thanksgiving with water and air both at 40. And when we started this spring the water was about 42. We did this on a regular basis also!
  6. I would add to bend your front knee slightly in the turn and allow the ski to finish. By waiting to feel the pull (letting the ski finish) before pushing with your legs this will keep the tip from raising up. That will help you keep the angle you got in the turn to carry across the course. Keep it up!
  7. Wow that's amazing. Suddenly I feel like it's time to go to work !
  8. Smaller handles will also add to elbow pain. .06 is a huge change!
  9. @ski4xtc how thick are they? The ad on top of ski it again is you? Thanks Nate
  10. Any ballets recommend a hat for cold weather skiing? I remember seeing something on here last fall it spring. Thanks!
  11. i feel all records need to be on video! only fair way of all involved
  12. I came back 3 years ago after 12 years off. You are right about the changes! Once you get used to them it is easier than back in the day except the being older part!
  13. @jdarwin. Do you mind if I copy and paste that post to my Facebook account? It may reach a lot more skiers. Great cause!
  14. Take out some tip. This will also make it easier to get wide.
  15. RFF but when I surfed and wankboarded I was LFF. I agree with @horton go to a tournament and RFF is a majority.
  16. I too have Fogman bindings and also set the releases light. I come off the ski if I pop the tail. Best system I have found so far!
  17. Nate Stein here. My PB is into 39 many years ago. I stopped skiing in 1999 and just resumed last year. Needless to say I'm not where I once was but have the desire again.
  18. As the water cools it keeps the ski from settling in. This gives the speed sensation because it is harder to engage the tip which creates less angle and more speed at the bouy. I personally move the fin back.
  19. @Horton no hips are between bindings with handle tight but closer to rear binding. I just would like to engage more ski than I am currently. I just feel like it's easy to ride the tail too much.
  20. Any suggestions for a ski that favors a guy who skis with shoulders back? Currently on a prophecy but it's hard to keep the tip engaged across the course. Currently running mid -38 @ 34 moh
  21. To fix above mentioned issues try to keep the handle low on your hip off the second wake. This will allow you to cast out and keep your ski speed up as well. Just my 2 cents! Still good skiing man!
