  1. Never tried ob4, but as a hard shell user for 12 years, the reflex front and r style rear is the safest system I've had to date. Been on them for 5 years. Very minor maintenance required. Oh, no reason to stuff the tip! ;-)
  2. @ntx my 5.3 is a favorite amongst most who both ski and drive, including someone VERY involved with ZO. @gsm_peter fuel is the same as 5.7. I ski b3 through 12m and just love the pull. also the driver variance has diminished greatly. I can almost the same rhythm regardless of driver...unless they move the boat trying to drive it!!!lol
  3. Dude, I've been in reflex and an r type rear boot for 5 years w no issue. I've released about 6 times in total and it works beyond perfectly. Definitely needs correct tension. Nothing is full proof and people need to check their gear/screws regularly. At 170lbs I run the spring tension on 5. Any way, for you, I'd think you would love it.
  4. @firkinguy Been through both arms. Depending on the type of surgical procedure, you will we be cleared to full activity either @ 16 weeks or 6 months. Really depends on how well you do your rehab, nutrition and overall fitness conditioning.
  5. @Edbrazil It's already hard enough to get the existing judges to keep up with very simple rules. adding another element to scoring would add more confusion especially with tower judges being so far apart.
  6. @Horton change is all how we handle it..carbon changed skis, cord/Caldwell are dramatically changed shapes of skis, scores in the pro ranks are crazy high based on what we used to perceive as impossible, for myself as a skier for 16 years and coming up on 47 years young quickly, the evolution of our sport has been great less the reasons for lack of pro tour, which seem to slowly making a comeback, thanks to all that are passionate enough to support it.

I do agree the expense is too much, and has risen regardless of the economy, again it's our choice how we handle it. thanks for reading my ramblings.
