  1. Hey guys,

Just thought I would share my new boat.

My first TXi and I'm extremely impressed by this boat.

If your in the market this boat is absolutely fantastic and its worth a look at the new TXi.

  2. @Stevie Boy it may well be linked to how much you use. It may be worth trying the syndicate rate again, I wasnt able to get onto it a couple years ago but the year after i could, again my usage went up so that might be the deciding point.

    Who are you with?

How much gas do you go through a year?

  3. Hey guys,

Just got a new 66" H2 but unsure on the stock numbers, the spec sheet that came with the ski has the following number:

    6.915-6.945

    2.475-2.505

    0.740-0.750 flat

    29.25"

    The website has these numbers:

    6.910

    2.505

    0.740

    29.5"

    My ski came with:

    6.903

    2.497

    0.740

Anybody no what I should run with?

    Thanks

  4. @Than_Bogan

I understand now, yes so as the ski is going across course with the flex of the tail acting like a rudder of some sort, steering the nose of the ski more before the buoy in theory, so more angle?

One question I do have is does this flex happen to a max point constantly or is it reactive to what the skier inputs?

This ski sounds more sophisticated than I first imagined.

  5. Its cold and windy so I shall join the ramblings :).

@Than_Bogan, you say that behind the boat the tail will be flexing away.

    In Goode's words:

"The Flextail also features an integrated finbox that serves as an extension of the backbone, increasing strength and responsiveness."

With this rigid backbone, surely there will be no flex or little behind the boat flexing away. Acting like the tails we are used to?

Unless I have completely misunderstood you haha

  6. Hey guys, looking for some settings for a 66" nano XTT.

Iv skied since the release on this ski and tried some recommended settings to me, all lacked the stock feeling some way, but the ski is just missing that ability to make and hold space. Im skiing at 36mph at around 32 off early season, looking to finally break into 38 this year. Has anyone had any luck with setting on this ski other than stock?

    Cheers

    Adam

  7. @horton Unfortunately there are the odd few that sandbag but its not really an issue as there are always people winning divisions and moving up. I personally like the system. Every time I have qualified for the next division its been a fantastic achievement, and I think everyone is the same boat, no pun intended :). I personally ski for a score and not too bothered about placement in the division. Which ever way, I'm glad to have your opinions from been sat on the fence. The forum is in a couple of weeks to discuss so I can report back then.

@skier2788 nope age cats are the same, and speeds are the same as iwsf rules.

  8. Hi Ballers,

Over on this side of the pond, our federation is currently discussing new possible changes to the way our tournament results are compared, and would honestly like to here some opinions on the proposed changes from skiers that it does not effect.

A bit of background. The British tournament scene I believe is pretty unique in that we have developed a League and standings. All skiers are entered in the standings no matter what age or score or speed, and compared on there best score from the season. This goes for the women's standing and a men's standing. As different age categories ski at different speed, a handicap is in place. 6 Buoys separate each speed. This means 36mph 15off is equal to 34mph 22off, and 32mph 28off.

This handicap is also in the league. The league works in that there a five divisions. They run through div 4, 3, 2, 1 and prem.

Women's run similarly through 3,2,1 and prem. These divisions carry a qualification score that an individual must get to place in a division. To place in the division an skier must have 4 scores from 2 separate tournaments. These scores are then averaged to create and average buoy count.

    The proposed changes:

The proposed changes ahead will see that the handicap be completely lifted. This would mean a score of 3@35off 36mph would also be equal to 3@35off 34mph, and also 3@35off 32mph.

A second discussed change is the collaboration of the womens and mens standings and league. This would combine all competitors, and give women a handicap that has not been decided to place them alongside the men.

These are the main issues up for debate at present. My personal view is that none of the speeds are really comparable and 36mph should be placed against 36 and 34mph should be placed against 34. I also believe that rather than a league an age category should be put in place to pit the skiers of a same age together. But as previous stated I would like to here opinions from a skiers point of view that it does not concern.

I look forward to your thoughts.

    Thanks addkerr

  9. Any help would be appreciated guys.

My ZO gives slow times 17.20 ish on 34 and slow times at 36. Every so often, maybe 6 times this season. On diagnostic screen it shows a GPS_BadPos.

The system was new in April fitted to 08' response with new ecm.

Changed head unit and ran with each puck on its own but can't get the system to do it when u want.

Wouldn't be too concerned apart from this boat is used in tournament. Any ideas?

    Cheers

  10. My view on this, which is pretty much what mapple says, is the boat is going down the lake at 34 or 36 mph and your going with it. To get to the next ball early, you have got to get to the otherside as quick as possible, so that boat dosent pull you further down the course. Do this however you want. So if your quicker leaning hard, do that. If your quicker been lighter ,do that. Making things simple helps me, hope it helps you.
  11. Had a few sets on the XTT now. Agree with @MrJones‌ this ski is great fun. Ran the bindings forward and back and have settled at 29.25" front and my rear r boot slightly further back than I have been running. This ski snaps around the turn so dam quick that you better be ready to hang on. Thanks for the insight guys on the settings. Found a good base that I can work on. Also found someone with a slot that is coming up to check what I'm on at some point, and will report back on my personal difference between tips and slot. Thanks Again guys.
