  1. Bought my first inboard, ( a Correct Craft ) for the same price as a ski now a days. $1900. I now have a 2012 / 200 My how things have changed.
  2. It could be really fun. Or we could do like the NCAA basketball tournament does. Fill out the brackets. I can't do it, for various reasons, however it would engage people in the tournament. Again, 1/2 to IN HIS WAKES, The other half could go to the skier who wins favorite charity. We would need to be careful not to cross and gambling law lines.
  3. I didnt' bet him, however I would like to do something for IN HIS WAKES. Now you've got me thinking. If someone wanted to start a pool, Bet on Andy to Win or not to Win. 1/2 goes to Kristis Kids, IN HIS WAKES. ????? might be interesting.
  4. Rules are rules. # of skiers will not expand. My guess is, we will have at least 5 sctatches, which is usually the case. injuries, unexpected family issues. etc.
  5. Andy, I called this morning and left you a message. Looking forward to talking with you. I sent below email to ANDY. Posts from Chet, Marc Shaw, etc.etc. Who knows, maybe the rules will change in the future, but for 2012, the rules are etched in stone. ( Chad Scott must have been reading my mind ) Andy, Bottom line: 98% of skiers , officials, ( 100% of spectators ), sponsors, waterski enthusiasts all over the world, WANT YOU TO SKI. What a story. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't let a couple winners, spoil what we all LOVE and want, that is: TO MAKE THE SPORT BETTER, MORE EXCITING. 99% of the skiers would consider it an honor to ski in the same event as you. To maybe have the chance to go Head to Head with you, and as you know, anything can happen in a Head to Head. this would be a dream come true for most of the Big Dawg Skiers. I have talked with many, many, many of the skiers. two, and only two, have been negative about your participation. DO WE LET THOSE TWO ruin it for the rest of the waterskiers all over the WORLD? It's not only the Big Dawg skiers, but the spectators, sponsors, all the skiers that will be competing in the Nationals. The shore line will be packed if you ski. 5 or 6,000 people is very possible. All wanting to watch a legend ski. I don't want the same thing to happen to the Big Dawg that happened in the Pro Division. (short sightedness will kill it) Please help me make the Big Dawg even Bigger. To be the best, you must beat the best. Are you kidding me, this would elevate the Big Dawg drastically. It would make the already great 34 mph skiers better. They would train harder, they would set their sights higher. They want you there, we want you there. it would be AWESOME! Let's talk later today. Greg
  6. Guys, I like Brents com ment. Pro's & Big Dawg's need to join forces & act together. in 2002 / 2003. It was very clear who was the best 36 mph Pro slalom skier in the world. ( Andy ) Regarding the 34 mph amature skiers, who is the best ??? this was very, very unclear. You had: Mens 3, Mens 4, Master Mens, etc. OK, who's the best 34 mph skier? Lets find out, put all the guys in same pond. In 2004, Dave Miller and I promoted the first Big Dawg at his lake in Ohio. It was a big success. 65 entries form 17 states and several foreign countries. At the first BD, the skiers could choose what brand of boat they wanted to ski behing. A Malibu, mastercraft, or Nautique. Out of 65 skiers, 54 skiers choose to ski behind Nautique. The following year, Malibu and MasterCraft decided they didnt' want to support the Big Dawg. Nautique Stepped up and helped it grow and supported it. It was not by accident that the Big Dawg has grown to where it is today. If you beleive in something, and are passionate about something, then let nothing stand in your way, or stop you from realizing your dreams. This pertains to life as well. I would love to see the Pros and the Big Dawg guys join forces, and really take it to yet another level. anything is possible, if you work together.
  7. by the way, I will have a low hour mint 2012 for sale in July.
  8. Hours on Nautique 200. Difference in price is about 18 to $20 per hour. i.e. a2010 nautique 200 with 100 hours vs a 2010 Nautique with 300 hours. The one with 300 hours is worth about $3500 less.
  9. Both James Stewart and Ricky C have Nautiques. Working on something. Should be interesting
  10. The problem is next week at Moomba the Dawgs and the Pros are on the same stage with LOTS of folks on shore. The $ are being split between the groups. Maybe from the promoters point of view this is not the case but from the a Pro skiers' perspective there less $ for them. THERE IS NO PURSE FOR THE BIG DAWGS AT MOOMBA. Zero, ZIP. Each of these guys are spending $5,000 of there own money to go down under and compete. They love to ski, they love to compete. I'll give ya one to think about, Last year at the Nautique Big Dawg Finals at Okeeheelee, one of the Big Dawgs, who place on the Podium, gave his winnings to Kristi Overtons, ( IN HIS WAKES FOUNDATION ) He said " hope this will help Kristi with the kids" Talk about a class act. which most of the Big Dawg Skiers are. Hey, these guys have jobs, businesses, family responsibilities, etc.etc. They ALL, share the same passion for slalom skiing and compitition. Lets get off our butts, and promote the sport at all levels.
  11. Just bought one. Love it, As a Senior Driver, I don't look in mirrow much, just a short glimpse, at times, however, from a safety stand point, it's long over due.
