  1. We got one in west Australia this week for some reason I think there is another one over here
  2. If you are lowering the lake level and have access to the weeds why not try a big dose of glyphosate? Not residual and relatively low toxicity contact only herbicide
  3. Should be fine for someone just starting out. Big enough so it won't sink while going real slow and as he gets bigger and faster he will grow into it. The real key is awesome graphics so he should love skiing on it and therefore be keen to ski :)
  4. Agree with don't push them. A kneeboard can get them used to running the course at least that's what we are doing
  5. A mate of ours had roll of ski rope that we used to make a couple of barefoot ropes and one recreational rope (no shortenings). I would think the show skiers may be able to point you in the right direction
  6. @laserfjim for what it's worth my wife had a RM that she loved and replaced it with HP Connelley skied the same but a lot lighter as above you will love any of the newer skis
  7. Waiting to have a look at the one installed or talk to the distibutors over here. But my thoughts are that I will go for the Stargazer PP (don't need paddle wheels ect). I think that as long as you hold your foot steady on the throttle the servo for PP should still operate okay as mine is pull to open.
  8. @Lucas I am in west oz and thinking of doing the same to an old Lewis. A mate of mine has seen one in a foot throttle boat over here.
  9. Wondering the same thing. I have heard of it being done, though I have not seen it myself and when I e-mailed perfect pass they said you needed a hand throttle. Guess a long winded I don't know
  10. @ral the D3 trick has no holes/inserts for mounting the D3 RTP. The mounting instructions say drill pilot holes for the scews. Hated drilling holes in my new ski but it is done now.
  11. The D3 has arrived to replace the HO Turbo. Just have to get the courage up to drill holes in my new ski to put on the RTP.
  12. It an Aussie one but I like the boat restorations. http://www.wake.com.au/index.php
  13. I would try to find one of these wood carrying trolleys and adapt it suit.
  14. Dad and Son both fallen off waiting on the boat
  15. Dad and Son both fallen off waiting on the boat
  16. If you do not have an electronic distributor try replacing the condenser as the break down sound exactly like that.
