  1. @chrislandy They typically shoot the ProStar at a different location with a slalom course (usually a tournament ski lake). The photos for the rest of the line are done on a much larger lake. It's not an intentional slight, just a cool shot they got from one of the 15 days of photo shoots. If marketing truly did not care about the ProStar or skiing they would not have 5 skiers on their team of 10 signed athletes.
  2. MasterCraft has 15 different hulls, they have a cool shot of 5 of their boats running down the lake, I wouldn't read too much into that. I would consider it highly unlikely for them to launch a new ProStar after only 2 model years. Even in the prime years of waterskiing (late 80s and 90s) MasterCraft was running 3-4 years on a ProStar 190 hull design.
  3. The following anniversary boats were produced: 1988 - Platinum ProStar (20th Anniversary) 1993 - 25th Anniversary 1998 - 30th Anniversary 2003 - 35th Anniversary 2008 - 40th Anniversary 2018 - 50th Anniversary At this point I would only expect an anniversary model on the 10 year (except for the 75th anniversary).
  4. @Dacon62 The new vest is not quite the same material, but still a super lightweight vest and a great option.
  5. @Andre The core vest is new for this year and has panels in the side for extra rib protection. The Impact vest has been around for a bit. It is the red and black vest with the built in back brace.
  6. @PeterAK The Camaro Core vest is what you are looking for!
  7. @jpwhit is correct - the pucks are not brand specific. I believe the old pucks were produced by Garmin and the new puck by ECI. The pucks are for ZO and the towboat manufacturers purchase the head unit and GPS puck from ZO to put in their boats.
  8. @dbutcher Give Bennett's a call - I heard they have a few in stock.
  9. @chrislandy Mike (mastercrafter) is correct, the best practice is to push the throttle all the way down once engaged. This way ZO has full control of the ECM and engine.

    ZO question

As previously mentioned Zero Off comes into the course hot - this will be affected by the course mapping. Other than this initial increase in speed, ZeroOff responds based on the load of the skier (using an accelerometer which is communicated to the ZO head unit, then sent to the ECM for engine response) not based on your relative location in the course.

    ZO question

There should be an option to "auto detect" courses. Without this option checked you have to manually select which course mapping you want ZeroOff to use. In your profile it shows that you have a Nautique 196, which I assume has the old circular ZO display. Someone here should be able to let you know how to get to the "auto detect" selection on that interface. I am no longer familiar with its menus.
  12. Completely different skis. The Big Daddy is more of a traditional shaped slalom ski. The Hovercraft is essentially a stretched version of their Freeride ski.
  13. @Deanoski The Silvretta (Reflex) release is often used by skiers with a RTP since in the event of a fall the rear foot is all but guaranteed to come out, so having a mechanical release provides a more consistent release than bungee laces.
  14. Man, if only Ed Brazil was still with us. :( I believe he made a post or two about the old line lengths somewhere on this forum.
  15. Team Talk used to be a great platform with a ton of extremely knowledgeable individuals. Unfortunately, the forum has really died off in the last 5-8 years. Best of luck with resolving your issue.
  16. @B_S Yes, the idea is to get any oils, sunscreen, etc off before putting on your gloves. I have never seen anyone wash their feet until this video.
  17. @UCFskier Pet peeve here: There are not multiple "LCQ"s - the definition of LCQ is Last Chance Qualifier. There are multiple "Q"s hence MQS or Masters Qualifying Series. In both years where the new MQS system was used (2021 and 2022) the 3 qualifying tournaments were held at the same sites: Shortline Lakes (Pickos), Lake Ledbetter (Drew's), and Sunset Lakes (Jack's). All 3 of these sites are affiliated with Nautique. The qualification process for the 2023 Masters has not been released yet.
  18. @GregDavis I have never heard of Steady Pass before, but was able to find their website through a Google search. There is a "Contact Us" form on the site. http://steadypass.com/
  19. From what I have seen the Zero Off settings that are most popular have changed throughout the years. As Jody mentioned there are some key changes that have been made regarding power plants: - 5.7L engines have been replaced by 6.0L and 6.2L engines. - Additionally the older engines were MPI while the new 6.2L engines are GDI
  20. @Horton https://www.masterswaterski.com/athletes Looks like Nautique has updated the Athletes page on the Masters website. Likely just confirmed registrants, not all qualified athletes.

  22. In order to qualify for insurance the club would have to pay an annual sanction fee of $50 for practices and sign the annual sanctioning agreement.
  23. Ooops - I would contact your local dealer to try and get a replacement bimini.
  24. @Skoot1123 The problem now is production capacity
