  1. @Horton I'm not convinced that that is the cause since even with the MC trick system which added weight front to bring the nose down there was a lack of definition with the previous hull. (Comparing an unweighted 2021 to both weighted and unweighted '14-'20) I would bet that it has something to do with how the water flows off the edges of the hull/tracking rails/etc. Not sure of the exact cause - again I'm not a naval architect. Regardless the boat has a great slalom wake that is arguably just as good as the previous generation, drives worlds better, and as a bonus Eric Lee gets a better trick boat.
  2. @skimtb I'm no naval architect - nor have I studied the bottom of the two hulls side by side. I'm not sure what the causation is for the improvement of the trick wake, but the consensus is that the crest or peak of the wake is more defined
  3. @escmanaze The issue with the trick wake on the previous hull was a lack of definition - not necessarily the wake size. Horton and I have the same feelings about trick... but from talking to some former world champions the new hull creates a trick wake with more definition at the peak or crest.
  4. @ETskier The 1993 Stars and Stripes 190 was a special package which was unlimited. The real unicorn is the 1993 ProStar 190 25th Anniversary Limited Edition - only 25 produced.
  5. @tjs1295 I think Moomba proves that it works... just hard to put together.
  6. @tjs1295 To get mass appeal the event needs to be edited down to a 1:30-2:00 hr show. The old Hot Summer Nights edited things down and got rid of downtime.
  7. I think it's great to have some standardization and a brand to begin to tie together these individual events that are starting to really come into their own. If we ever want to see an actual pro tour again - this is a step in the right direction IMO.
  8. Lots of shin guards with duct tape or electrical tape to keep the guard in place.
  9. Bennett's Waterski & Wakeboard school in Zachary, Louisiana (just outside of Baton Rouge). http://www.skibennetts.com
  10. @The_MS Zippers are better than stretched out pullovers
  11. @Moskier3ev Do you prefer the trick wake on the 2014-2020 or 2021+?
  12. @MDB1056 ProTour 190! Special edition - I think it was only offered for a year in 1994. Probably not many sold.
  13. @6balls Manufacturers are building 3 Event boats. While slalom is the primary consideration when designing a hull, the boat also has to be able to trick and jump. If you were designing the ideal boat for slalom, trick, and jump you would end up with three different hulls. Trick wake and slow speed slalom wake are two opposing principals of hull design.
  14. @skihacker SlalomSteve said "skis and drives well."
  15. @Horton I assume you're talking about the trick ski :p
  16. The 2022 Vapor is a completely different ski than the 2021.
