  1. Great set up for the kids at TX State. Bring your stick next time your in the area and we will get you a ride. My wife and I ski about every day and would love to give you a pull. If were not there we have a great community of people who you could hook up with.

  2. We just do what was said above epoxy on the insert, screw it in, remove screw leave over night. This is not a brand issue it is an insert issue. (beats the heck out of drilling more holes) Our family has something from most manufactures between slalom and trick skis all brands have done it. I just snug my screws down on my slalom and don't have issues with my slalom. My wife tightens hers screws every set, she overtightens my opinion, and her inserts give me a problem when I need to work on her binding. Same MFG of slalom.

  3. Yes, Shane, I am sure it was the driving. And yes Kieth Nationals was a big CHOKE job 5.5. It was a great year slalom skiing. Looking forward to 2013. I am not sold on any one technique except listining to a good coach you beleive in. I know Trent coaches people that slow down a few ticks and he has coached my wife and I who use the 1/2 loops. I just bought into his technique and continue to work on it. When I do it right everything slows down. Looks like here in the Autin area we are going to have a bunch of ELR slalom next summer hope you guys make it

  4. I have struggled with 35 for years. I spent some time with Trent or T$ he has worked on my gate and primarily the way I stand on my ski. I load the line tooooo early. And after working on a couple of basics for a while, a long while. I was able to get through 35 last summer in a tournament. I use the 1/2 loop as a crutch. I hate missing a passes in practice. My set was a 22, 2-28, 2-32, 1/2 loop 35 and then a full 35. I also need to give credit to my son Drew he helped with my onside turn last summer.

  5. Ditto on what Shane said, get a spare tire I usually go to the tire shop and get a cheap rim and decent used tire and throw it in the back of the truck when we go to a tournament. On the colors the hardest one I had to sell was blue and white. Go figure. Resale red. My 12 TXI is orange. Great boat. Worried about selling it.
  6. We had an awesome day at SMRR yesterday slalom in the am. and kind of an end of year jump fest. Tina, Lori K, Taylor Grathwol, Jordan Orsak, Kevin Fennel, and I took pokes. We measured jumps and hung out all afternoon on the jump lake. Good way to end the year.

  7. As far as an umbrella excluding your boat I find that strange. Most policy language I have read does have a racing or timed event execption. Usually there is language in that parargragh about a sanctioned or an organized racing event. I have never heard of a slalom course exception. The underwriter is using the timed part of our sport to exclude the boat. What needs to be explained to the underwriter is the timeing device is a standard feature or factory option in ski boats. This option is used to verify the speed of the boat. The undewriter see that when your boat is in a slalom course fastest boat threw the course wins.

None of these would apply unless you are a promo boat. That is why it is important to carry high liabilty and have the correct endorsements on your promo boat. Global does a good job of staying on top of that.

  8. GAJ004, We trick behind the TXI. It is very close to the LXI I did not notice a lot of difference. My line length stayed the same my wife shortened her rope a 1/2 meter but she did go up in speed. The boat is a little bit more weight sensitive. Flat table. The TXI is a great 3evt boat.

  9. My nieghbor had a 2010 206 until he upgraded to a 200 409 this year. I thought the boat was OK 28 and 32. It was huge at 22. I felt like it drove great you just sat higher. Reminded me of the Sunsetter LXI. Not in the same ballpark with the TXI, RLXI, 200, 196 or 197.

    My 2 cents

  11. Shane, since we have access to a couple of boats on our lake my price is still good. We have access to a 99 CC just do not like to jump behind it. Then we have our club boat so I have options. But I have done the now or 6 week price.

  12. Scott, Our club boat at SMRR is a great deal. Tina and I have used it occacionally when we were boatless. 08 LXI ZO $39 an engine hour + gas. It is a little rough I agree with Kevin. but $39 an engine hour.

I really liked them. I just could not keep the laces tight. I was putting a knot in the lace to keep it from loosening. I was afraid I would crash and not come out. I am on my animals for a while until I can get new laces.

  13. Joe, I offered Kevin My 11 LXI Promo for upper 30s under 200hrs cover trailer stereo upgraded bimini. Red/ white and charcoal. Offered an option to share a trailer since we have property in the subdivision a 3k discount. Yes, If I can't get another boat I will charge more money. I said a 2k increase if my family has to go with out a boat. But as I speak it is still at the price I quoted Kevin.

Great boat, Good price, Avail. tomorrow I guess it must not be good looking.
