  1. got the ho grifter, the jr A1 was a little more than he needs. took him 5 types to get up but then loved it. yes they still sell the Jr vortex
  2. i love the step over boats rather than the walk through. seem to more solid construction, and have better seating throughout
  3. so my son has no problems getting up on the jr vortex slalom ski, and has started ripping across the wakes. he is 10 years old and 70 pounds soaking wet. i see as the boat speed increases (22 to 25 mph) he seems to be less stable, i also believe he dosn't cut through wakes like he should, he kinda bounces over them. I am thinking the jr vortex is too small, and he is ready for the next step up in ski. looked at a ho grifter 62, wondering if this is what he needs, or is this still to big for him?
  4. 10 year old son weighs 70 pounds, popping up real good on the jr vortex pulling him at about 22 to 25 mph. Im thinking he's ready for the next ski. the jr vortex does not seem to cut through the wake, and does not seem real stable as the boat speed increases.
  5. 1st boom,2nd boom with 5 ft line,3rd shortened rope from tower.
  6. i guess all i was trying to say was don't hate on all stand up riders. many are the same as me. a slalom skier that wants to carve turns, but because of the freedom and spontanuity does so on the jet ski. if im riding near a ski boat it is only because im hoping the skier will ask to ride my jet ski and in return pull me down the shore line.
  7. first post here. 43 year old lake free skier. have noticed a hatred of pwc on this site. personally tubers bother me more, but there are two types of pwc. the sit down style and the stand up style. 3 years ago my buddy that i had been skiing with moved and i was left looking at calm lake with no boat driver. Decided to try a stand up jet ski, no need for a spotter or driver. They are a blast, and are not easy to ride. check out x-h20.com these guys are amazing atheletes, there is always a exception but most standup riders know there place and don't bother others. Sit down style or "couch" riders, i agree, same as tubers- scum of the water, but give us stand up guys a chance.
