  1. I have a 2003 206 and love it. The slalom wake is fine for me (34 mph) although the wake is a little big for my kids and wife who are slower speed slalom skiers (17-28 mph). With enough weight, it provides enough wake for a beginner to intermediate wakeboarder or kneeboarder. Frankly, I think newer wakeboarders benefit from the smaller and narrow wake (as compared to most v-drives) anyway. I am in the middle of a job installing aftermarket ballast for boarding purposes as well. If interested, I can send pics when done. It also barefoots adequately for our purposes. We have found it to be a perfect overall family boat.
  2. @oldjeep, that is the diagram I intended on posting, thanks.

The equipment provided by wakemakers has a harness that will connect to battery power as well as a control toggle. I am assuming, I can wire this to the 40 pin plug, but was looking for insight from someone who may have done this or a similar project. I didn't want to get into this without as many details ironed out before installation.

  3. I have a 2003 Ski Nautique 206. In an attempt to appease the boarding members of my family, I am trying to integrate two reversible ballast pumps using supplies provided by wakemakers.com. I would like to wire the pumps into the exhisting control pad on the dash instead of adding a toggle. For these controls, do I connect the control wires for the pump into the 40 pin plug according to this diagram?

Or is there some other location that I am missing? The control pad wiring seems to feed this unit with the breaker box.

    Any insight is appreciated

  4. I am RFF with righty batting grip. I have tried to switch several times, and cannot make it work. However, I have varying handiness depending on activity

Left handed golf, hockey, baseball, piano hand dominance

Right handed writing, racquette sports, goalie (hockey), surgeon, drinking hand

    So, I'm messed up.

I am sure as the rope gets shorter, this will become a bigger issue for me.

  5. My Lab died 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 13 1/2. He could still jump with the best of them as an old man with Bilateral Cranial Cruciate Ligament tears. The Brittany on the dock is still rocking at 11 and will swim for hours. k971d13gli1v.jpg

  6. I know there are not many people on BOS in NE Ohio, but my house is for sale. It is not lake front (lakeview), but is in a lake community with private access (you need to own property to use a boat). We have a slalom course, and I am working on trying to get a second. The lake is not overly big, but there is a fair share of course skiers. The neighborhood is a blast and the school district is one of the best in the state.

  7. Increase practice PB from 3@-35 to 1/2 @-38. My -32s became far more consistent

My two older boys (7 and 6) made huge strides skiing and wakeboarding. The 6 year old was on his bare feet for a few seconds.

My wife started skiing the course and took great steps in her barefooting. She has also taught a few of the young girls around the lake to barefoot.

We had 10 new course skiers in our course this year ranging from age 7 to mid 50s. We have a very small ski club on our lake, but it looks to be growing :)

No one tubed behind my boat!!

  8. I used to be 312 pounds and could run 15 off. When I dropped 100 pounds, I was able to run into 28 off on occasion. With practice, the last few season, 28 off became more consistent. This last off season, I made a effort to not only be lighter but be stronger in my core and have better overall fitness. My goal was to run -35 (Ran it last week). Last winter, I used purple sections from old ropes as motivation. I put one on my gym bag, one of the refrigerator door, and one on the rear view mirror of my car. These served as a reminder to avoid some of my life long bad habits and focus on good habits. So, find something to keep you focused, the difference on the water is worth it, not to mention all of the health and life benefits. Good fitness with core strength and ZO practice, I would expect things to take of themselves.
  9. This summer, my practice pb went from 2@ 35 to 1/2 @38. At the start of summer I could run 28 off 95% of the time and only ran -32 a 1/3 of the time. For practice, I would run -28 fast (+0.5 - +0.8 mph), then run my -32 at 34.2. The result was much more consistency at -32, plus I think it warmed me up. Now I run 75% of my -32s and have run a few a little fast. Working on -35 I would run at 34.2 to see what I could do, then slow down 1 mph. This week, in what may have been my last set of the year, I ran up the rope and ran a full -35 off for the first time at full speed. My point is that my work at -28 made my 32s better which gave me more cracks at -35. Slight speed tinkering has been a huge part of my improvement this summer... that and being less fat.
