  1. Very interesting thread. Does anyone know, or can anyone say what processes and or materials allow Connelly skis to be durable enough for a lifetime breakage warranty?
  2. The hoody looks nice. Will be a nice warmer upper here in CT.
  3. The boss ordered me a hoody. Says shipping in Jan.
  4. @Horton‌ is on the right track. Maybe marketed like snow ski sites. I think it would take a decade or so to see strong growth. Over the past 15 years or so media exposure and public awareness has wained. Affordability and accessibility are keys to growing participation and shorting the learning curve.
  5. The Mazda should be fine. I used to haul my 170 cm (67") EP Comp X2 in my 73 Beetle with no problems.
  6. Got it. That's how I have ordered in the past. Don't like pay pal.
  7. @skihard‌ what is this Black Friday special ?
  8. Yes indeed. A lot to be thankful for. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
  9. Hard to say. Lots of knowledgable, helpful and funny Ballers. @Horton‌ and @MattP‌ how about a few winter BOS beer summits - east, west and central?
  10. Chrome on PC. Usually use I-phone v. Safari for BOS though - no problems really. My biggest problem is keeping track of a gazillion passwords.
  11. Mike Suyderhoud would be on my list. I took some lessons with him in Shasta back in 94 and 95. He steered me to Berkeley and the Marin club where I skied those two seasons. He told us a funny story about the first ever rock re-ride at a tournament at Spencer's pond in Owego, NY. http://www.marinij.com/sports/ci_6650786
  12. @Stevie Boy‌ nice vid' I don't see a lot of top level LFF skiers. Thanks
  13. It's hard to pick one. @Edbrazil‌, Kris & Bob Lapoint, Wayne Grimwidch. I really like to here the wisdom of veterans in the sport.
  14. For me it's all about who owned and how they used and maintained it. A really, really well maintained boat with up to 2000 hours would not concern me, would just need to be priced right.
  15. Any Ballers ever sent their wetsuit to O'Neill for repair? Years ago at Berkeley an O'Neill rep told us that if we ever need repairs just contact headquarters then ship it to them and they usually are able to make them as good as new, within reason.
  16. My Animals are in their 14th season. I replaced the rear overlay two seasons ago. Pretty durable boots overall.
  17. A cross sport tourney. Similar to the John's Pond/Twin Lakes Iron Man tourneys which were ski / bike / ski. Or maybe ski / cross fit / ski. Just need other skills that skiers can do.
  18. @david_ski‌ Wow just what I need. Let's talk about getting them to CT. Thanks !
  19. Here's a throwback from 1959, "Water Skiing For All" by Walter Prince. Found it in a used book store in Vermont a few years back.
