  1. Ok, I have an idea. I would like feedback. The problem: getting more people to go to nationals. But the cost for 1 round is crazy. I’m the same as most of the people posting. I would never podium so I would rather go to a record that has 2 or 3 rounds instead. Everyone is trying to re-invent the wheel, add rounds, make it a C, and run C at the same time, more divisions and so on. There is no incentive other than going or maybe a podium at nationals. So except for the top 10 why go. What if you didn’t go to nationals there was a penalty on the ranking list. If you are a skier that has only skied in two tournaments then you have a deduction. Why not do the same thing for National?
  2. I look at it like this and if you watch a vid of Nate smith you can really see it. The shorter the line is the longer you have to wait till you pull (because you have to wait for a tight rope) and the sooner you get off. So if you look at the opposite you would see the shorter the rope is the shorter you pull. So yes the turn is longer. At least in the about of time.
  3. I do this. But I explain it like this. Have you ever trick skied? Can you do a 180? Well you cant just turn, you have to pull the rope in a little so you can spin. Its the same way for me in slalom. Right at the wake I give a little pull to help me get the ski under me and to cast out. So its not a second pull out to the ball, its a pull to help the edge change.
  4. I like the idea of a change. For the people who don't, Pro and big dawg have changed through the years from one pass to multi-passes and then to a head to head. You could have regionals be 2 or 3 rounds and the top ?? number go to nationals for a head to head.. just brain storming.
  5. ok 4 41's is sick, but the foot ball... he was almost on the teak deck....
  6. that is a good point, I would guess if the units speed didn't keep up it would still be able to pan the camera and still follow.
  7. I am on one and I love the cast out. you are ahead with your front foot. Try putting the binding at 29.5. that should help. I like my bindings ahead so I moved up 1/8 from that but you are up 1/4. I have my fin stock got them off connelly web page.
  8. Dave Miller what size ski are you on and if i'm on the 66" how would you change those settings?
  9. Ok, so put a waterproof case on the phone. So has anyone had a phone fall out of the wakeye?
  10. thanks for the input I was trying to use the new app. Anyone else have input on the app and how is works?
  11. will the wakeye Iphone 5s adapter fit with a otter box on or do you need to remove it. Is there a better option?
  12. I was on the 65.25 nano one then one the 66 nano one and now the 66 NEXT.
  13. OK, I have had 3 sets on the new NEXT. Lets start with some background 34 mph was running 38' on mid ride twist very consistent and was on Nano one for 3 to 4 months. Can not say enough good about the mid ride but have only ran 38 3-4 times on nano one (3-4 months!). I would say my style is to keep the speed through the turn and I could not adjust to the ski shutting down. Felt like I had to pull all the way to the buoy and had to work very hard at 38. Now on the NEXT with my water up and getting re-bounders and been windy last couple of days. I feel this ski keeps the speed through the turn AND creates more angle then the Mid twist. Both on and off sides feel the same, maybe there is something to this asym thing. I have only got 3 @ 38 so far, BUT conditions haven't been great here and Its taking me a few sets to start changing my edge at the wake again. More to come.
  14. Just had my first set on my new Nano XT. Very interesting. Much faster than Nano and turns of front of ski more like Mid twist.
  15. I had the same problem coming from the twist and spoke with dave goode and he had me add depth to the fin and it fix the speed problem. I'm now at 2.503.
