@swbca have fun! I have been adjusting skis for over thirty years, sometimes they get better and sometimes you just move on to the next ski. If you ‘know’ what you are doing you can at least decide whether it worked or not. For those that do not ‘know’, they should not try this at home!

@swbca just wanted to follow up on some of these comments.
I make all kinds of custom plates and setups. Spacing between boots is not a problem and can be adjusted in many ways.
I can build release systems using many different types of boots, including T-factor boots.
I have skied over 30 years using my MOB style release system and never had a pre release.
Unexpected releases are almost always a result of operator error or broken parts. I agree that you should know your equipment and inspect it before skiing.
I build both single and double boot release systems. I have built systems using up to size 15 boots.

@Jaypro yes, I have made a couple of pairs out of Starboard. But I have not come up with a good mounting system yet.

@WBLskier we would love to have you and your daughter come down to visit the campus and ski with us this spring or summer. Send me your contact information and I will get it added to our recruitment list so that you know when our events are.

This is the work station I make from the Starboard material, to use on your dock…

@Andre my business is making water ski products to sell. @Bufootin I will try to make this product in a version that will fit various boats. If you are wanting a particular rack built, I would need a sample part or cad drawing to work from. @Wish I understand completely, I have a long history of diy with whatever material I could find. I guess that is what lead me to where I am.

@Wish yep, probably very similar material but only 1/2" thick and the marine grade is more UV resistant. @Jody_Seal email me the drawing when you get it done if you can.

I switched to the New style Vapor boot last year and still love it...

Wish I could have been there! Always enjoy working with the Auburn skiers…

@Ronny61 the MOB release system works great with any of the Radar boots. I am personally using the new 2022 Radar Vapor boot.

@liquid d Yep that's the way to go, we have a '98 SN with ZO. Best pull out there.

@RAWSki what @Bruce_Butterfield said, grandson is riding a 42" trick ski with very small wakeboard fin for learning the slalom course. And he tricks on a 40" ski for tricks. In the mean time, he has decided to use his new 63" HOski for slalom and is now learning to ride that ski.
-
Yep, been watching his work on that for a while… interesting to finally get to see it on the water.

@skialex @MattP A flat bottom shell would be a great improvement, but we know it is very expensive to build the molds. Reflex does not make their own boots and cannot dictate specific shapes without their own molds. Radar took a BIG risk and invested the $ necessary to develop exactly the product I would have chosen. In fact when Brooks showed me the first samples, I told him they had done pretty much everything I would have liked to do. I have been using the new Radar boot since January and recommend it highly. Of course not everyone will like any single product. The Syndicate boot is not at all flat without the accompanying base support.

We taught my grandson(now 7yo) to run the slalom course on a trick ski with a small fin added to the back. He is running into 28off @ 15.5. We can't even get him to ride the new HO slalom ski, though it is obviously time to change. He also has a smaller trick ski for tricking on and set a new PB last weekend in tricks.
You have to keep the kids excited about progressing and moving forward. Having other kids around to ski with is a big plus!
BTW, like his mother, he has learned to ski using my releasable binding system. And I have a box full of new size 2, 4, & 6 super shell boots. If you are looking for those sizes please message me.

@3mustskiteer Yes, I do have the written instructions.
-
@TomH yep, using an extra set of inserts. D3 already adds those to their skis, and Denali has also done it on request. I wish all the ski manufacturers would add them since the MOB system uses them also.
-
@3mustskiteer I used one for the World Games. The course came with a buoy connection point 10m back of the mid time buoy to line up with the jump, then you remove the buoy. You need 200 lbs. of tension on the cable to keep it tight. I used screw anchors in the lake bottom. I marked the course line first, then installed the anchors. Then you tweak the position of the jump. Anchor lines need to be ten times the depth of the water.

@david_ski you can learn a lot by trial and error, but I prefer not to make a broken leg part of it!
-
@Interjon good luck with that! Let me know if you find something available, I have probably looked at every lake around in the last 30 years. Where do you ski now?
