Crazy how the simplest things get over-analyzed.

Absolutely one of a kind. Perfect conditions and a super welcoming ski scene. Danyelle, Jay, Anne and Steve run the best operation I've seen. Keep in mind that they have one of the best pro shops in the sport as well. Heavily stocked all things three event.

One of the best looking ProStars I've seen. Congrats. Going to be an amazing summer no doubt.

I always tell my guys that if I were restricted to one lift or exercise it would be deadlifts. Replicates your power source for slalom perfectly.

As with anything, needs to be done correctly though.

I skied Don Pedro with Terry Marcus Will Todd and the crew for Edged2. One of the most surreal weeks of my life. Love to go back.

With Russell I go down the line straight out of the box. Zero break in required.

Man, humbled…Thanks Ballers. Couldn't be happier to realign with RadaR. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the founding crew back in 06; it's where my career began, and it's where it will end. Sully put the wheels in motion earlier this summer, and it really feels like coming home. Looking forward to 2017.

Speaks to the state of "pro" skiing?

So, because you didn't watch the live webcast and because you weren't able to find the online scores, Nate Smith's and Will Asher's chosen professions belong in parantheses? Careful guys, you've dedicated a big portion of your lives to this sport also.

Most dominant overall skier I've seen in my long career. Congrats to Adam.

Pro events have long used a 4-buoy course when the parameters of the site require such. The opportunity to place ourselves in front of a crowd in an easily accessed urban setting trumps the need for a traditional course.

You're on to something with your analysis of different styles. However, instead of looking at what different skiers do in contrast to one another, find what big-picture items are the same, regardless of 'open' or 'closed.'

Again. To reiterate, the BD event, format and payout are not the problems. I am a fan of the format and many of my closest friends in the sport are avid competitors in the series. The problem is the decision to run the event in conjunction with the Open. No one could argue the huge disparity between BD and Open representation during the finals will diminish the impact of the US Open slalom final.

We are fully in favor of the public locale and the 4-buoy course. The venue is ideal. This is why we do what we do, an opportunity to have our sport showcased in front of a crowd..Malibu and Moomba are generally considered the too events of the season.

This is without a doubt the biggest oversight by an event organizer in my long career. This is the US Open, formerly (even as recent as 07) the most prestigious event on the calendar. This is a huge disservice to both professional skiers and Masters Men's skiers alike.

First, US Open slalom competitors are being relegated to a watered down side show to the MM. Not by some marketing plan by Nautique, but by sheer laziness. They are looking only to kill two birds with one stone by combining two events that they are feeling obligated to host. With barely a presence in the finals and less prize money than MM, the US Open slalom event is comparibly non existent.

This is beyond insulting and it is aggravating that more skiers are not speaking up. The BD series as it originally existed was great for the sport; now it appears to be a confusing muddled mess. Too many ex pros, too much drama, and a real lack of identity.

The US Open is not the venue for an impromptu pro-am. Florida, the comp ski capital of the world has the real potential to draw avid fans. A US Open with 5 competitors flanked by 16 amateurs is a highly regrettable decision.

Many people have gone to a lot of work to organize these two separate events, and for that we are all greatful. Combining the two however is a no-win scenario for everyone.
