  1. @mattp, just what I was told. @Andre, some side storage but different I was told. @usaski1, I've run behind a Super Air Nautique with 6 people and it's not what you're describing. Biased, or need to work on edging through the wakes?
  2. Get on MasterCraft.com/teamtalk go to in your area in the Michigan thread you'll find a guy who is looking to learn the course on his lake. Private, but not a dedicated ski lake. He's about 45-1hr from AA, give or take. PM theomedic and set up a time.

  3. Try starting with a wider pull out. If you start narrow, it's hard to get wider as you go. On the 246 turns, try to initiate the turn with your thighs (hips & knees will follow) and ski yourself back to the handle. Trying to turn by reaching to the rope is costing you angle. Your not as far back as you might think, work on ankle flex to pull your hips forward. Also, flexing your glutes (or your flute, always flex that if you get the chance) will pull the hips forward a bit. Just be careful no to pull your shoulder forward to try to fix the attitude your ski is at. Overall, very nice skiing.
  4. Looking to try to get the Lake Monona slalom course back on the water. Not sure I have the time/willpower to keep it up on my own. If anyone in the Madison area is interested in being involved please let me know. Between permits insurance etc., maintnance and the like I'm interested in hearing from anyone willing to help, and what they are willing to do.

    Thanks,

    Jeff Dale

  5. Totally agree. I'm naturally huge by skiing standards, it's one of those times in life where what is more often than not an asset, really hurts me. Strength to weight helps, but not many offensive linemen are out there skiing the course.
  6. Try flexing your flutes. This will force you to pull your hips forward over your feet. Shoulders forward often accompanies weight back, for this try squeezing your shoulder blades together. This will keep shoulders back and chest forward. As stated previously bend your ankles, not just your knees.

  7. Good skiing. You might try rotating your shoulders outbound as you begin you edge change. This should get you wider allowing you to start your turn sooner, so you're heading cross course by the time you're at the buoy. You look like you might be able to pull your butt up over your feet more, and keep your shoulders back. Combine that with a little deeper knee bend and the ski should turn a little better and bounce off the wake more. There will be others who are better than me to give better advice shortly I would assume. Again, very good skiing.

  8. Try putting about 100lbs in the very front of the bow for training. Remove it for family time. You'll be more prone to taking a little water over, but the wake will benefit nicely.
  9. Depends how anal you are. I grew up on a set of wooden riviera's. They were different kinds of wood, with one weighing 2x more than the other. They've been repainted and are in my garage. My daughter learned on the same set.

I doubt this variation would matter, but some people would be up at night worrying about quality control like that. Do what you have to do so that you won't be thinking about this every time the kid falls.
