  1. @aswinter05 I had the attack bindings both front and back boot and I did like them to start with, very comfy and lots of edge control and then I changed the laces for some better bunjee and felt much more secure but did feel that they may not release me as well as they should. I dropped a tip around the buoy at 4 ball at 28 off and the front binding did not release however the back one did (foot still never came out). I had stretched all the ligaments in my ankle, the two major ligaments that attach your foot together at the front and also stretched my Achilles very badly. Took me about 8 weeks to recover and then it happened again in the same position and rope length did even more damage this time but thankfully nothing broken or snapped. I am on a pair of double Wileys now and I'm very happy but I agree with @addkerr you can do injury in any bindings. I don't feel the attack bindings would release every time as I first thought. Something to think about because I know the basis bindings are similar to the attack.
  2. @deep11 Respect for that like. If it is anything like the North East no way I would consider going out, good 3 foot of snow everywhere. OTF bet that was fun.
  3. Can honestly say I've never had to break the ice which from what you guys have said is pretty bad experience. Think I will avoid doing that one in the future.
  4. @thager are you saying the combined temperature was 82F cause if the water was that I wouldnt be complaining haha.
  5. Yeah know what you mean @bracemaker, those mornings where you think you will be fine with any wetsuits and just go shorts can catch you out. We have hot water down the club so normally just jump straight in shower after. @PBD sounds just like the temp I had the other day, I was only out for 4 passes. @Cam good pictures and idea like, I bet it was cold if you fell in.
  6. @6balls I am on wiley's now, will defo be coming out of them bad lads. I came into 4 and 28off and just tip went under and I stopped dead, back foot came out and front stayed in. Hurt like hell. Yeah everything else in my ankle is ok, just taking my achilles ages to get better, still haven't got full range of movement yet.
  7. @horton I must confess I had changed the laces on the attack bindings to make it tighter, lesson learnt I think.
  8. @horton what bindings didn't release when you came out the front, I was on the red attack bindings and lace didn't give at all @6balls I did it again about 8 weeks after that picture, not good.
  9. Agree with @addkerr, gotta get out when you can in the UK never know what the weather is going to do. Got to time the rain and wind intervals in the summer.
  10. @razorskier1 I thought it was cold on my face at 36mph cant imagine what barefooting would be like.
  11. I have stretched both my ligaments in the front of my foot and also stretched my achilles to the point of snapping, all front my bindings not releasing correctly. What my foot looked like after. Not pretty, lots of physio.
  12. @sethro that is really cold that, don't think I have ever been out where the air is below 32F
  13. I think my combined was a bit off the 100 mark. I am using the 2mm CAMARO Titanium long suit, haven't had it very long but love it.
  14. Just been out in water 39F and air 35F. Had my Camero 2mm titanium on. Hands and face went straight away but body was fine, Camero working well. What's the coldest set you have had?
  15. I think Rathbun's and Tgas's parents place would be top 2 for me.
  16. You should see the one we get in England, utter crap compared to Todd.
