  1. @gsm_peter yeah extra short haha. We also measured the individual sections of rope against one another and found that my 12m section and @addkerr were different in length. Different length's on all the sections really, obviously they have been used for a season. @CReckard when we measured the ropes we had them as tight as we could get them, obviously not when they are under load behind the boat but as close as we could get them.
  2. Measured my line out a few days ago and it was 14cm too short and @addkerr rope was 20cm to short. I shall be investing in a new one shortly. Always use masterline one as well. Every little helps!
  3. 66.75 Mapple 6.0 Wiley Front and Read bindings. ML Handle and rope. Rock Tape. Sports Tape. Pro Gear Gloves. O'neil Board shorts. Eagle Bird of Prey Vest. Screw Driver.
  4. @webbdawg99 I bet the boat driver and judges faces were interesting when you took that pull. Nice one, where is the fun in letting go.
  5. @tbrenchley pretty awesome, we took our boat to 42.6mph yesterday and I must admit it was pretty fast, can't imagine skiing behind it! Pretty glad that zero off is out there now and we don't have to worry about getting slow or fast times.
  6. Was curious to know how fast people have ran all 6 bouys. I remember boy wonder saying that he ran 38 off at 38mph while Diablo Shores was on and was curious to know if anyone else has done this or even gone any faster than 38mph. The split time for 38mph was 15.23 so I can imagine anything faster than that would be pretty quick. Any crazy stories out there ballers?
  7. Unreal, didn't even look like he got the best gate glide at 43. Can see 3 going down this season.
  8. @DooSPX Yeah I used to have both laces really tight on the front and then just the bottom tight on the back one however I would recommend finding a happy medium. I liked how hard the bindings were, gave good edge control through the start of your pre turn however just the release put me off.
  9. Here is what my foot looked like a few days after I did it.
  10. I had the attack binding on the front and rear last season and I dug the tip around the bouy and came forward, binding did not release. It stretched my front foot and all the ligaments and tendons around it cause a lot of pain. Was out for about 6-7 weeks. Came back having changed the bungee to a thiner one so that it would release and I was just getting back into the rhythm and flow of skiing again and the same thing happened, only much work this time. Spend the winter with the physio an lots of strengthening and still is weak. I should have torn all of my ligaments around my ankle and snapped my Achilles tendon however was very lucky (both times). I am staying well away from these bindings for good. I had the vectors before @DooSPX and they were a little better, not as stiff binding sides which I think helped. Rocking the Wileys till I can find something I am happy with. I would be careful anyone on the attack now.
  11. Gunna have to say missing your entrance gates, falling off at 1 or even missing your FIRST pass is a bad one.
  12. @DooSPX during the winter I used the RadaR Ergo gloves and they are the best thick gloves I have found. I find that the 41 tails are not sized up right for me, the pull on my finger tips and slide straight off. However the best gloves that I have found have got to be the Pro Gears. They are super light and super grippy, can easily fingertip and feel connected everywhere. Defo would recommend the Pro Gear however if not then the ergo's.
  13. I have both the Titanium Long suit and shorty and find that they are tight fit but I found that after using them for a while they do tend to stretch and give. My 2mm long suit is not stretched and not as tight as it used to be. @DanE I was recommended to get a XL however stuck with the L and am glad I did because the XL would be do big if it stretched.
  14. I have got the camero titanium 2mm long suit and I have worn that all winter in England and been soo comfy and happy, wearing the 0.5mm shorty as well and I don't think I will be going back to anything else any time soon. The shorty is rather tight however.
  15. I used the Radar ergo gloves through the winter this year and I can honestly say I loved them. However for serious skiing in the summer I have to say Pro Gears win hands down for me, best glove I have ever owned. I don't like thick gloves so always try to wear Pro Gears.
  16. I have both the 2mm Titanium long suit and the 0.5 mm titanium shorty and I can honestly say they are the best suits I have ever had. Its get rather chilly in England during the winter and I have been happy in my long suit while the water is just above 5C. Could never see me wearing another suit again. Camero all the way.
  17. If I remember correctly I do believe I read an article on here about AM skis and how CP and Andy both train there. When asked what the course recored was they said it was somewhere past the WR. I think that someone will get 3 this year but obviously everything has to be right.
  18. I used to play rugby to a high level and I have also skied since i was 14. I have the same problem my L4/L5 is very bad, the nerves around it were so damaged that they effected my hamstrings and i was in agony when I played rugby, I don't play anymore however still ski very strong. I try to do dead lifts however keep the weight down and do many reps, it will strengthen the muscles around the spine and offer some protection. I have also found that my hamstrings have a massive impact on what my back feels like. If your hamstring is tight then it can effect your back before it pulls the muscle down, I find stretching my hamstrings off every day helps to 1. stay flexible and 2. stops me having minor pain in my back. Best advice I can give is put stretches, exercises that the physio recommends and also back workouts but go for endurance rather than weight.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPsqFIFPZXA Rossi at 41 off slowed down.
  20. 2k on the ergo's as fast as you can and 5k on the ergo as close to 20 mins and then cross fit does it for me.
  21. I would like to see a better heater for those cold mornings in England, and also the whole of winter.
  22. Used final cut pro to slow it all down, took the video from youtube and imported it into final cut pro. Can also do it in iMovie but I just use final cut cause I have it @Rich.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPsqFIFPZXA&feature=youtu.be @chrisrossi hope you don't mind took your video and slowed it down to half speed. Awesome style and skier.
  24. On a red Radar atm and love it however @addkerr is loving his new AM so I think I shall be trying that when I next go to Florida.
  25. There was an article in a issue a few years ago about what some pro's do in the winter and Nate said he doesnt do anything, goes snow skiing but no training or anything. I think you have to train otherwise you are putting your body under a lot of stress for later life. Agree with @stevieboy
