  1. @Parkemnz for a Yamaha you will need to create a bell crank mechanism for the PP throttle cable to still be able to pull on one end of the crank while the other end pushes the Yamaha throttle. We have had one on a Flightcraft with a 175 Yamaha and worked great.
  2. Recommend Givego the Coaching app that has just been released. Some top coaches that you can choose from. https://www.givego.io/userapp
  3. When we first start skiing at the beginning of the season we concentrate on the fundamentals. Stack, body position and rhythm perhaps even free skiing and our skiing generally improves quickly as we refine these fundamentals. As the season goes on we want to keep improving so we start working on smaller details like the turn, our reach and perhaps where we are looking etc. (forgetting or letting the fundamentals lapse) Unfortunately our fundamentals of stance and body position start to drop off when we focus on smaller details, and hence we start going down hill. Revert back to your earlier keys that you were working on at the beginning of the season which were of a higher importance and your skiing will start to improve again. Sometimes working on the fundamentals all season and trying to fully master them is the key to continual improvement. We often fall into the trap thinking we have these skills mastered but find we haven't done so.
  4. Everyone talks about being stacked. Here the guys go into great detail of how to get into stack. What it looks and feels like and some of the keys they use to make sure they can ensure they are in the stack position at the right time. Excellent episode.
  5. Stokes Evo2 impact vest is great for giving a bit more protection. I have had a number of rib problems in the past and needed a jacket with a bit more protection and this one is fantastic. Floats a bit higher than most of the other comp vests too. https://www.stokesskis.com/product/evo2/
  6. Almost the end of the season, but Lake Ratapiko, New Zealand has been good to us this summer.
  7. Water temp 50° air temp 60°. Starting to warm up in NZ :)
  8. There were many of us New Zealanders who were fortunate enough to work at Hortons Lake Ski School. For that we will always be grateful to Dr Jack and his family. And will always have fond memories of our time there.
  9. @Jboss Looking at the picture showing the fin and wings. It looks like the wing on the EVO is at a far steeper angle than the 7000. It also is the other way up than the 7000. Its hard to tell what angle the wing is actually at but if that is the case why not at least put it at the same angle as the 7000. I would also check the factory angle setting for the wing. You might want to even try it the same orientation.
  10. Just picked up a junior Obrien Siege for my 9 yr old nephew and he loves it. Only just getting up on one before hand, again because of average bindings on a combo set. The junior Siege has super comfortable bindings with plenty of adjustment. You could barely buy 1 good binding for this price:. Now hes tearing it up and loves it.
  11. 7°, which is what Denali recommend I believe
  12. When choosing 120fps or 240fps the Wakeye app saves the recorded video into your iPhone Library (because of the size of file) If you choose the video, select edit and drag the scroll bar completely to the beginning of the bar. The video will now play the full video at normal speed. This is just what the iPhone camera library app does to the video. Nothing the Wakeye app can do about it. The scroll bar allows you to choose where you may want to have slow motion in your video, very useful tool.
  13. Awesome skiing under adversity with those buckles. The C75 ski rips.
  14. We have a camera at two sites I ski at that runs on a 4g card that can run either mains power or 12v. We run one of them off a solar panel with a timer to come on at different parts of the day, the other on mains power that runs 24/7. It has 10x optical zoom and pans 300°. Very affordable and reliable. An easy app to use that you can swipe across for panning and zooming. Also has night vision. Outdoor Camera
  15. I just switched to a InTow Spectra line handle with protective tubing and really love it. The protective tubing is a softer material than other suppliers which I like.
  16. Love DFC, watch every episode. Always enjoy listening to skiers who are passionate about the sport and listening to their opinions (good or controversial) . Talking about elite skiers and reminding us how good of an athlete they are and some of the feats they have accomplished is always motivating.
  17. Tried a number of gimbals. The following mode is too slow to keep up with a skier. Talked with gimbal manufacturers and the more you try and speed up the follow mode the less stable the motion is. So manufacturers are not keen to make the gimbal less stable to just speed up the gimbal.
  18. Thanks @AdamCord. Understanding why..... is a great way of analyzing your skiing.
  19. Lake Ratapiko in New Zealand s water temp 53°F (12°C) on Friday but was up to 60 °F(15°C) by Monday. Bring on summer.
  20. Big advocate for MTB training for skiing. Apart from MTB being a great fun activity with minimal cost and find I can go out riding in any conditions year round. The balance required and fitness generated (especially climbing mountains) with low impact is great to build strength and fitness. If I drop off MTB through the season my performances skiing usually drop off as well. So maintaining riding while skiing is a must.
  21. @ozski after seeing that photo Wakeye will replace it.
