  1. @ozski If you broke a part of the Wakeye just send your details and this photo to them and they will replace it at no cost.
  2. @vernonreeve yes you are correct the red ball has a slit in it to remove and reattach each time you shorten the rope with Velcro inside the slit to make sure it cant come off easily. The red ball is made of soft closed-cell polyurethane foam rubber so it cant damage the motor cover
  3. @scotchipman Wakeye Cylon $380 comes with: Cylon Mount. 2 Red Tracking Balls. 12V power adapter with 3m (10ft) length cable. Mini USB to USB cable for sensor settings changes and fixes(if you wish to tweak the sensor and servo settings). 2x6mm, 2x3mm, and 2x1mm rubber pads with self adhesive tape for pylon clamp.
  4. @scotchipman Yes it will fit all current/original holders. So you only have to purchase the Cylon Mount
  5. @Wish just keeping up with Apples new IOS updates and new phone releases is been keeping us busy. New products include our new Wakeye Cylon
  6. New update for Wakeye App available on app store now. I would suggest first deleting the old app and install the new version.
  7. @Luv2Ski See attached image to show how to switch to front camera. We did an update recently for iPhone X. And it seems to have messed up earlier iPhone versions. Will try to fix it asap
  8. @lewis310 it was an update to work on iPhone X they just bought out. We will try to remedy the problems.
  9. @jcmccavit its available on iPhones but not yet available on Samsung yet
  10. You'll find the Samsung Galaxy 8+ is equipped with Optical image stabilization which is designed to stabilize "hand shake" or low frequency vibration (a lot of new smartphones are using OIS these days). But it cant handle high frequency vibration that it is picking up from the motor, propeller shaft and anything else in the boat that is resonating a frequency the OIS cant handle. A work around is to use the front camera as I don think it has OIS.
  11. The connection struggled the first day and kept freezing. But fine after that. But the commercials are so constant that I just gave up watching. There were some amazing moments that they could have replayed and really captured the audience but they seemed to miss that opportunity. Did seem to work better on my iPad through the upstream app than my computer .
  12. 11.25m is 38 off 10.75m is 39 off 10.25m is 41 off
  13. @adamhcaldwell when people buy the fin do they first set it up with the same fin and wing angle dimensions as there existing fin. Or are there suggested “factory settings” you will provide?
  14. @adamhcaldwell what does the bent tip of the wing do? I have seen them before in the past but most manufacturers stay with a pretty standard flat wing these days.
  15. @MarcusBrown I can imagine there is a huge amount of editing gone into that video that makes it so good. How many different clips are in that 5 minute video? I bet you spent a few hours putting it all together.
  16. Awesome video, capturing what looked like a great event. Marcus, well done. This has to be one of the best ways to promote our sport.
  17. @Wish yes if a message comes up like that i think the app will stop recording. Always best to keep the battery full or even hook up to your boats 12v accessory power which I know some skiers do just so it doesn't run out. The GPS usage on your iPhone chews up a lot of battery power. The only way to get rid of those corrupt files is to delete the app and reinstall. Be sure to save any videos within the app to to your library otherwise you will lose them.
  18. @wish This has happened to me before and it has been because the iPhone doesn't have enough memory to store the video clip. The app doesn't tell you it doesn't have enough storage to save your video, and starts recording and stops normally. Try deleting some of your old videos to make room on your iPhone for your new videos.
  19. @Golfguy for iPhone 7 use the new feature camera flip to utilize the front camera of iPhone 7. The front camera (selfie camera) doesn't have optical stabilization which causes havoc with high frequency vibrations and gives excellent video quality on the Wakeye mount.
  20. @skispray you could just get the shock tube for slalom, and remove the boom completely for tricks. If you do most tricks inside or close to the wake you probably dont need to have the rope boom tracking arm. If you do flips and want to capture all your cut to the wake and not be zoomed out to far you may want the standard rope boom accessory.
  21. Another great podcast. Enjoyed hearing a pro skier talk about the mental side of water skiing. Marcus covered many aspects we all go through from injuries, tournaments coaching, being coached, being in the moment etc. Awesome.
  22. I have used Ergo gloves for 4 seasons and they really work well. Tried some other gloves last year and got blisters straight away so went back to Ergo gloves and had no problems since.
