fin rundown please

Could someone please explain what changing the fins depth and front to back location changes. As in if I move the fin forward this happens or if I deepen or raise the fin this happens. I removed my wing, but I assume the wing is just to slow the ski down durring the edge change. I removed the wing because I want to learn how to slow the ski down without it. I have been skiing for one year.

FYI: I think there is a LOT more to DFT then what is on my article. There is a lot more to DFT then what most skiers think. Explaining it is just beyond me.

Your article helps make sense of the purpose or function of the fin in relation to the ski. It seems like a complicated subject. thanks for all the help
