Ski for a really massive bloke?

Hello, rookie post here and I'm afraid it's of the predictable "what ski..." kind. So, moving swiftly along:

What ski for a 6'9", 250lbs+, intermediate level skier who skis only on open water - Pittwater and the Hawkesbury RIver in Sydney (even out so sea from time to time, around Lion Island and into the surf on Palm Beach), doesn't do slalom but likes to turn hard and jump boat washes etc?

 

At present i have a (very) old HO TNT Magnum (71") that i suspect i've damaged - the transition of the curve in the underside of the ski sharpens immediately after the rear binding. Despite that it's never been a very stable ski, it's tended to be very twitchy around the straight-ahead but would turn very well. Either way it's the better part of 16 years old and needs to be retired. Plus I just got a promotion so it seems like a good way to treat myself!

 

I have access to a Big Daddy but i'm not a huge (no pun intended) fan of that - I prefer a longer ski as i've found the back of the BD skipping out from time to time, especially in heavy chop. I guess i'm looking for something at least 69" long and to that point the new HO Magnum must be in the frame (assuming they're a tad more stable), i've no experience with the Radar P-6 but it appears to be of a similar ilk to the HO. Can anyone else think of something I should be looking at?

 

And lastly, can anyone recommend a good ski shop in Sydney? I've been out of the country for a while and all of my old haunts have shut. Preferably the shop would have a hiring policy as well, which is often tricky i've found for skis at the kind of size i'm looking at.

HO still makes a triumph in a 70ish length.

The OBrien Synchro is awesome and comes in a 68.5

I would agree with @richarddoane but I have not seen the current P6

Radar Theory comes in a 69

 

Any of these skis should be great for you. Can't go wrong. There was a day when most skis of this size just sucked... not these skis.

Purchased some ski stuff from cable ski in Cairns, this is the same company that has re-opened the cable wake park at Penrith. I purchased a set of combo skis from them at the Sydney boat show last year, so they obviously sell ski gear as well as wakeboard stuff http://www.cableswakepark.com/ never been to their site though, but they were good to deal with and the Cairns park seem to sell off excess and used stock each season on fleabay. The people at the Sydney show said that they were going down this road when they became established. Probably the best (only) chance of try before you buy in OZ!

 

Williams skis also make excellent products that may be suitable http://www.fredwilliams.com.au/ some people won't ski on a timber ski and others love them!

 

Ocean skiing; am sporting a black eye now from Saturday due to a roller from a wake boat, couldn't imagine runing into those ocean rollers!!!!!!!!!!

The 69 Senate C will accommodate a 250+ guy (me last year) and it will out turn most of the big boy skis. Also will handle 34 mph where some of the othes are skipping out at that speed. Reasonable to find one on Ski it again for a few hundred bucks. 2011 is based on Strada mold, so I would go with it or 2012.
