Baller Phil Posted March 2, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2012 I have used a rtp all my life, and have used many over the years, the best so far is the HO, it has a really good foot bed so that your heel does not slip off, which can be very painful. Baller davemac Posted March 2, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 2, 2012 I've got a very nice, medium HO I've been meaning to list on SIA....if interested. Great condition.

Baller Rup Posted March 3, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 3, 2012 I use a Wileys. - the best that I have found so far. Making one sounds interesting. Who sells the material?
Baller Ham_Wallace Posted March 3, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 3, 2012 I used a plate with non-skid instead of a footbed. Harder to get situated but never a slip out. I used D-3, HO, and home made. I missed a few kick-ins on short set-ups and went to a rear boot in 2011. I was fine with it but, after being a kick-in guy for 52 years, It was wierd. Maybe this year, I'll try something different.
Tomfauxski
Radar RTP is the best I have tried so far
Baller Hugh Nichols Posted March 3, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 3, 2012 You can order parts from wileys, I have rebuilt many wileys binders, & RTP's. I have attended the Thompjs school of binder rebuilding so if you start rebuilding one PM me.
Baller thompjs Posted March 4, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2012 I used a Wileys rear boot and cut it down. I'm with Ham on using non-skid. I've been skiing for a long time and I've got a pile of old binder rubber.
Baller MattP Posted March 4, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2012 I am in the same boat. I took off the foot bed in my Radar RTP and put down some grip tape on the metal. Works for me and nothing holds better. Granted I do not kick in after I get up. I do pull my foot in before I get up.
travnews
what rtp is will asher using in the ad for the attack boot?
Baller davemac Posted March 4, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2012 Travnews... I'd also like to know, as that got my attention as well. I'm assuming you are referring to the one seen on in the ad on the inside back cover of the latest WS Mag.
Baller Ham_Wallace Posted March 4, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 4, 2012 If you do go to non-skid vs a footbed, make sure the front boot isn't way higher than the rear. HO's are on a raised platform. You may need to put a spacer under the rear plate to keep your feet on the same plane.
travnews
@davemac that's where I seen it first, it's also on ho's website for the same attack boot ad, but they don't sell anything that looks like the rtp will is using.
