Baller Dirt Posted March 17, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 17, 2012 Pics of skis set up with reflex front binding would be appreciated along with recommendations on release # setting.
EF23
for release #, have someone stand right behind the binding. Then go foward aggressively. shouldn't cause any strain to release. I'm 205 and use 7.5, all good so far...

Baller Cam Posted March 18, 2012 Baller Share Posted March 18, 2012 I am 175 and use 4.5 to 5, never had a pre release in the ten years I have been using the system, have seen people setting the tension too high and tearing a hamstring on their first crash. travnews
I'm 190 lbs and set mine around 6; Reflex states right in the instructions not to go over 6 for slalom, anything over 6 is ment for high level trick skiers. I measure from the tail of the ski to where the cleat meets the boot. http://reflexworld.com/2010SITE/web/images/instructions/user_manual_reflex12_25_01_2012.pdf
EF23
A top skier told me how to set this setup, and no problems so far. I have prerealesed on other, and it sucks!!!! Not to mention, the fear factor! just my 2! Again, I'm 205.
travnews
@EF23 did you pre-release with the reflex? If so, what was the setting? I'm not far from your weight that's why I am wondering. Do you use an RTP, high wrap, or the r-style on the rear.
EF23
Not on the Reflex, it was a FM set up. For the Reflex, it's always realesed when I needed it to... I use a Wiley rear.
